  2. Resale price for printers (what are some of these guys thinking?)

I think that 10.5K VP300 is a member here, his name is TACO if I remember correctly. Speak with him if you want to buy it (he just posted about it a day or so ago), he might have set it high to start with so that people could knock him down a bunch to get to his best offer range. Usually...

  9. Roland SP540 vs. VP540

Banding is pretty high up there on issues that can arise from these large format printers. and the printer is $15K, then add $5K for a decent laminator, then $1K+ for startup materials/ink etc...then $1K for a computer, then $1K-$4K for software...you see where Im going, this adds up. Im glad...
  10. Roland SP540 vs. VP540

Love my SP, cant say much for the VP as I havent used it but saw one run and they are quicker. But if you dont even know what banding is - why are you EVEN buying a printer? Granted many newer printers dont have the banding issues those were plagued with in the past, but search the forum and...

I had FF 2 and it was a memory hog on my machine and would crash here and there, but FF 3 is much better (although still eats up a lot with 20 tabs open ;) tell us what version your on and it might help. I would also google "Firefox + version + crashes" and see what comes up. Finally delete...

  13. print lam cut ....no automatic detect

Can you upgrade to Versaworks? I use that on my SP-300V and it always finds the marks no problem (after laminating and refeeding it) without manually having to align them. Not sure if it is possible (since you are probably used to Colorip with your profiles etc) - but just throwing it out there.

  15. My Company Logo

Yeah I go to outside sources for ideas and inspiration for my own logo and branding. Its too hard on yourself, but I personally would drop the LLC. I think you may have that in there to even out the line with the top, but I would drop the LLC and center the bottom line.
  16. VersaCamm - what cut settings for 3651 alone and with 210?

Thanks Kustomsigns - it looks like I was fairly close on the 3651+210 settings that you have, but will try yours tonight. But does the 45 degree blade differ that much then the 60 degree blade you are using? Never was really sure of the difference, but I thought 60 degree blades are better...

  18. VersaCamm - what cut settings for 3651 alone and with 210?

Hi there, Have a SP300V - prints great, but just wondering what your cut settings are for Oracal 3651 and 3651+210 if you reload it in your printer after laminating? I currently use these settings: Force: 125sf for just 3651 (I heard of people using almost 180 to 200, but when I do my...
