Almost done my new shop. I'm putting 220V plugs in in case I want to get an HP next year. The spec sheet doesn't specify. Is the plug a regular two prong, or does it have a round dryer-style plug?
Me Too
I'm dealing with them for the first time and the last time as well. Nothing but horrible service. Saw them in Vegas at ISA and they looked quite professional. -Never again
Welcome from Canada
I can honestly say that without this forum my business would not have succeeded. The value of this place is immeasurable. Good luck with your new path.
Oh Yeah?
The kerning and spacing on the original post was horrible. Where did you learn to post comments? Maybe you're in the wrong business if you can't even do that. And your grammar; just awful. Leave the thread starting to the professionals. Just Kidding. I actually am quite turned...
Here we go
Must have been nice to be perfect on your first day on the job old paint. Some of us come here to learn, others come here to share wisdom. While some come here to be as *** and vent the misery in their own lives on people who they don't even know. Fortunately most of us fit into the...
Name Problem
I tend not to like the background, colours etc like most posts, but if that's the way you're going, my suggestion is to totally redo the "401 Graphics" it looks way too much like an afterthought in the design process" I think that is maybe what addie had felt as well.
Damn Nissans
Yes those Nissans are a pain. You have to do the side with the door track first and use that as a guide, then measure what you did on the other side.
Done lots of those
Actually did one yesterday. Use the deep groove body line as a level. Then cheat a slight rake downward to the front of the vehicle about 1.5mm per 4' (yes I'm aware I'm using both metric and imperial)
This site is quite extraordinary. Not sure I'd be able to do what I do for a living without it. Just remember to pay it back when you start to learn new things. Good luck with the new venture.
Actually the difficulty cutting it is more of a concern than the cost. It might just be that I don't have the proper equipment for it. My Roland only gives me 300 grams of down force. I cut at 10 cm/ second and make two passes, and I still have to trim around most of the cuts with a hand held...
I've been making up bike graphics for a client for a couple years using Substance brand media and laminate. The Lam is 20 mil thick, but it's very expensive and is a bugger to cut. I'm looking for alternatives to these products. Hoping to find a happy medium between thinner lam and a product...
Well said. I as well remember spending several hours making a simple "hockey stick" stripe for an '70 Cuda a couple years ago in Flexi. The best way to learn is by doing, unless it's a one in a long shot job, then I agree with subbing it out and moving on the next job
I'm trying to make the same decision. Using a trailer right now. Might go with a Honda Ridgeline and keep the trailer, but it's hard to argue with a Dodge Grand Caravan. $20,000 brand new (here in Canada anyway) 30 something MPG, 4 X 8 sheet storage, and the new ones are not horribly ugly. It...
