You can only buy the bottom bearings separately. To get the other ones you need to buy the entire carriage. That being said, if you can find the proper bearings I'm sure there's a way to install them but from the looks of it, it's not an easy job.
Out of the two machine I would recommend the Epson but also look into if you have a Mimaki or Mutoh dealer near you too. You might find a better deal. But people love the Epsons.
As far as the computer goes, processor cores don't matter as much as clock speed if you are only running one...
Yellow and magenta are on the same head and protected by the same fuse. If they just dropped out completely out of the blue, that's probably the issue. Check your head cables to make sure they aren't dirty or damaged. If they are, replace them. Then replace the fuse. It's a 1.6 amp fuse and...
I'm talking about an official air purge procedure that gets the air out of the mid cartridge not just pulling air out with a syringe at the damper. You need to tilt the cartridge so that the septum is pointing up and then syringe the air out of it.
On that machine the ink lines are connected...
Your printer IP and Computer IP need to have a different last number. Otherwise you get conflicting IP addresses. Change either the printer or computer IP to 192.168.0.2 and it should work. Just make sure if you change the printer IP to reflect that in Versaworks.
If you haven't changed the dampers in over a year, that's where I would start. Ink flowing through the station is a good sign it's working but it may not be pulling hard enough either since it's an older one. If you want to troubleshoot the head, just switch the black damper with the one next...
With the DX5 Mimaki heads, sometimes the old memory board works and sometimes it doesn't. It depends on how old the head rank on the old head is. If it's too far apart from the new one, it can cause issues.
It means fuse 2 on the slider board is blown. Check the cables that plug into the slider for burns and replace or reinstall any that are damaged or improperly installed. Then replace the fuse.
This is the perfect post to let people know that the Eco in Eco Solvent is a marketing term that means it's economical not environmentally friendly. Wear your gloves and goggles when maintaining these machines! And keep your kids and pets away.
The R1000 is a fairly high end machine. What's your expected volume? While I have heard good things about the HP, you might want to look at the Mimaki JFX200 which is more of an entry level machine.Slower but easier on the wallet!
In that case, you probably need to purge the bulk system of air. That's what I always do first when a single channel goes out on those machines. It also might be time for new dampers.
This is a great example of what to put in a tech request post.
Unfortunately it's probably the head. However, make sure there is not a crack in the manifold where the damper is installed. Even a slight crack will allow air into the system and this makes it so air gets pulled instead of ink...
Wasn't trying to be mean. Just giving you an anecdote to better understand the cold reception. As soon as I saw your post I thought, "Uh oh!"
Find a dealer near you and they will be very happy to quote you and educate you. In fact, it's their job to!
I came here thinking I could help but I guess I'm not as good as I thought. My bosses daughter is in the 99% percentile in punctuation. I'll ask her if I see her!
That's what we do! We are fairly limited on Roland machines however. Myself and the other techs are all trained and certified on Mimaki and Mutoh printers but we also work on Rolands in the field but usually only the older ones.
