Most banner material we get is reverse wound, but I would assume that your supplier should be able to get whichever winding of the material that your printer likes. Just ask them or specify which way it is wound when you order it.

Floor graphics will not work where wheels spin on them without a (non-slip) coating over them. Think of taking the "eraser wheel" to the graphics; things that turn/spin peel them up, especially if the tires are warm. The way I've seen many forklift drivers drive; I would not doubt that...

How did the final product turn out? When I'm running striping (usually an ambulance box), I get out the tape measure & grease pencil. Measure off of a straight edge & put a dash every few feet. Then you really can't go wrong & everything will meet up.

It reads from both left to right & right to left; based upon the travel of the head IIRC - so stair-stepping to either side IS possible. After you clean that strip, double-clean it & the eye sensor. Make sure you clean the strip behind where the eye "parks". If you still have stair-stepping...

Center it top to bottom in the middle, it should flow like the lines do once applied. That's really all you can do anyways...

Is it possible that your rollers on your laminator have a small dent/nick that is causing this? Is it always on one side/area of the material?

I've seen it a few times, the torch usually took it right out after/during installation. (if this is the same issue) I've also seen similar on 3M cut vinyl, came out with torch also.
