  1. JPEG issue in Flexi

Never seen that before. To fix it I would open the JPEG with PS, re-size it to the actual size, then add the transparency & flatten it again (save as JPEG). Then, load it into Flexi.
  2. Small print and cut decal source question

What plotter are you using for these currently? I could not imagine trying to cut/weed jobs with my graphtec, the cut from it is nowhere near as nice our other plotter. The Gerber Envision we have here does a good job with the small decals. Although, any small tedious weeding is no fun. Also...
  3. Need some advice

Not much different than the roll-up doors on the sides/back of their firetrucks. You an apply a (high-tack) vinyl to the slats then slit BOTH sides so that no vinyl goes into the recesses, but they may not like the look of that. Otherwise, cut a reverse stencil & paint it on the slats; be...
  4. HELP! Anyone been or is a customer of Visual Formix

if their support sucks now when you're trying to give them money, I would not want to see what happens after they have your money. (if you have a problem)
  5. Does anyone recognize this horse logo?

    getting closer... http://www.aivectorart.com/en/tshirt-vectorart-office-clipart/lihrse
  6. Dust and mounting

We have a cutting mat on each of our tables, I'm sure your suppliers sell them. One small tool we use, a tack rag (like a body shop uses) does great for taking off the dust before mounting.
  7. Application for imitation silver leaf

I've never used another layer of vinyl underneath any specialty materials here. Always just print it & cut it, then lam & cut it 1/8" extra around the graphics for the edge seal.
  8. full bleeds are curling

more info is needed: what printer? what material? what laminate? what surface are they applied to? so far, sounds like the wrong material...
  9. Gold Chrome Wrap URGENT

At least it's cheaper than the IJ680CR-10 we buy...
  10. Ya just have to wonder...................

you give them your account info, then they clear it out. that's basically how it works.
  11. Decal pricing HELP PLEASE!

I would call Stouse & consolidated listed above, then see what your markup is & go from there. or if you have no idea where to start; do a google search for label printing companies & request a RETAIL PRICE quote or two.
  12. Thoughts, questions, concerns?

Just keep everything that's below the line closer to the line than the bottom of the truck. personally, I like the pinstripes too, but that's up to you as the installer if you can wrap it like that.I like the layout/phone number in the original location; just move it up a bit & choose a similar...
  13. contour cutting perf

Maybe I'm dumb, but I've never had a need to contour-cut perf... Why do you guys cut it on the plotter?
  14. Anyone ever had this done before? Printing logos on premask

We did this at our old shop, worked very well. Haven't done it here, but have hardly any carry-out graphics.
  15. GS6000 No Cartridges Installed Error???

Problem located: Chip in the Cyan cartridge was apparently (backfeeding???) bad. Switched in an old empty cartridge into its location the cartridge levels returned (reading empty cart on Cyan). New cartridge installed from local dealer, nice of them to bring one by within two hours of calling...
  16. Conserving pictur resolution when creating PDF

If you have InDesign, try that; it's what I like to use for combining images & creating proofs. Makes great PDFs also.
  17. GS6000 No Cartridges Installed Error???

I left the printer to finish up a wrap on the take-up reel last night, came in this morning & the print is finished on the reel without problems. (YEAH!) However..... The pink light is flashing on the machine. The error message on the screen reads: NO CARTRIDGE - INSTALL INK CARTRIDGE (and...
  18. PDF, file is corrupt

I think it can depend on what was originally used as the "design program" to create the PDF that you were provided to print. Since every program on every computer now has the ability to either export or print to PDF, many were not designed to be compatible with Corel, especially newer programs...
  19. LG's LD383TG 54in for 58 bucks at Nglantz

Apparently I missed the boat, finally got authorization to place a large order for it; called them and they are sold out of it... :( Next time I'll just order it & then explain why when the statement arrives. ;)
  20. printed white on matte black looks odd

I know they have a new more opaque white out (Arctic White?) for the Edge that the sales rep showed me a couple weeks ago. Which resolution are you printing it at? 300x600 seems to have "heavier coverage" but can cause oddities at times.
