  1. Window graphics without silvering?

Why are you backing your clear with PolyPro? Just back it with white vinyl. Mirror print on clear vinyl or laminate, back with white vinyl.
  2. L260 - Errors when printing

Well I've had no updates to AVG this week. I have tried disabling. I just uninstalled AVG, rebooted, and sent a job again. No joy. Status Return Error again. I am at my wit's end on this. I have stuff to print, and for no reason at all, I can't anymore. Next step I guess is to uninstall the...
  3. Colors in Versaworks show up different than in Corel

I've never trusted VW's preview...it always shows wrong. Blues will look purple, and once you print, it's blue. I would print it and THEN troubleshoot, if there's an issue.
  4. L260 - Errors when printing

HELP! I am having major issues when sending prints to our HP L260. Suddenly, starting this Monday, when I send a job, I end up with a Status Return Error. When I search this problem I ran across similar problems and tried disabling my AVG, and it worked once. But now I still either get this...
  5. printer return status error

And this doesn't work today. I can not get a job to send as i keep getting this error. Any more ideas as to why this is happening? I have looked through everything and nothing has changed except the fact that every job sent to the HP is either returning this error or I get CANNOT OPEN PORT.
  6. printer return status error

Just had this problem ALL day today, out of the blue. Never happened before. Did what this said and now I am printing. Freakin weird. I never changed anything in AVG and haven't had any updates lately.
  7. How much digital printing warrants buying a printer?

I can't imagine being in this business period without a printer. We print 90% of what we make. 2 printers running all the time.
  8. Yeti Cooler wrap

I've applied vinyl decals on a few..using O 751. Sticks fairly well....I post heat and burnish afterwards, but I can tell it can come off real easy.
  9. Constant "Substrate Jams" on L260

This. I finally learned to let it hit the floor before I tape to my take-up reel, or sure as crap I'll get the error.
  10. Wrap shrinking or pulling back from seams

That definitely looks like a calendared vinyl was used. I am willing to bet the wrong roll was grabbed when printing. I have done that before, grabbing my IJ-35 by mistake (the liner says Scotchcal and not Controltac, but a quick glance could easily get them confused)...although I didn't print...
  11. Trick to layering colored vinyl, or need different machine?

Really shows how many are relatively 'new' to the sign biz....layered vinyl was all there was 15 years ago and back...before being able to just print everything.
  12. Font(numbers) help please

I have LHF Convecta that is similar that I use for racing numbers a lot. (the Base font).
  13. Font Recognized?

Looks like the Texas Rangers 'T'....but no idea what font it is. My search yields no matches, many near matches.
  14. Editing job??

And it makes sense it would not work, since .job is not a file type that Flexi can open or import, if you scroll through the list of types. Production Manager, however, will open them, as it is the actual program that creates a .job file from the info sent from Flexi.
  15. Editing job??

Hmm..mine gives me no options. I have to go and select whatever program I think I should use.
  16. Help IDing a Curly font help

That's better. That one's called nothing extra italic
  17. Editing job??

sample of a .job plotter file, opened in Textpad...
  18. Editing job??

Is this a print file or a cut file? If a print file, and it's a PDF just copy and paste elsewhere. If it's only a cut file, the .job is just code, editing won't do any good.
  19. HP Latex L26500 - Ink bleeding into other colors

Looks like too much ink...saturation, most likely the profile. What's the media and what profile used?
