If it's an exterior sign I'll run off a strip of the grey and take it outside to check for metamerism.
The feed calibration pattern uses black only.
Unless all nozzles are firing as new you'll get some banding.
That's one reason four colour greys are a good idea.
I don't know about the AJs but we had a SJ-745EX and now have two XJ Soljet IIIs.
The IIIs are a generation better than the IIs.
Still not exactly fast but more refined and print with less banding with the IPC.
I've been running Bordeaux in our Rolands for a couple of years now - no problems apart from occasionally the cart runs out without telling the printer.
My printer tech said they have fixed this in new carts.
He also said the heads are showing less wear than OEM inks.
You only get the Monday off?
We had Tuesday as well.
Although most businesses took the Friday off here and won't go back until the 3rd..
I think it's nice to have a bit of downtime.
