I too use the orajet 3164, I use the matte style and can apply in minutes. The matte seams to not get as soft as the gloss thus fast app times.

WTF, you can't be serious. I use spray paint for stuff like small brackets and to coat a bunch of screw heads ahead of time (poke a bunch in a styrofoam block and spray away) but not for the sign itself. NO WAY it will look near as nice as a gun... unless you really suck using a gun....

I would build a pan box style sign with a foam backer, installed on hidden brackets with screws on the top and bottom only, none in the face. The logo part that sicks up hvb .060 aluminum to the front of the box panel.
