  1. 20' banner - uh oh print not to good in one spot

you know I just realized the customer wants those dreaded wind slits in them......so I can just make sure the slit just happens to go over that troubled area.....Problem solved!!!! lol:thankyou:
  2. 20' banner - uh oh print not to good in one spot

my prices are fine, but the time and the fact that it is basically all black is what hurts and that it is due by noon tomorrow. Trust me if it was a major f*** up then of course I would reprint without question and have done so many times. Its such a small misprint and honestly a little...
  3. 20' banner - uh oh print not to good in one spot

I too do this but black is a tough colour as this particular black is not as rich as I anticipated. I suppose a dark brown sharpie could work, and yes I agree with the dot pattern, and would add sometimes the smear technique works too.
  4. 20' banner - uh oh print not to good in one spot

thats what I plan as I really do not have the time to reprint.
  5. 20' banner - uh oh print not to good in one spot

not 3" .25" small invisible as to quality banners...huh? I don't think they exist anymore. Every roll I order from different sources always comes packaged the same way. All comes from the same factory in China it seems.
  6. 20' banner - uh oh print not to good in one spot

cant post, it's rolled up at this point and it is a rush job. The spot is not devoid of ink, it is just not as uniform as the rest of the black. Heck I think it really only shows when light glares on it and this banner will be hung fairly high. Trust me I dont put garbage out there, but to...
  7. 20' banner - uh oh print not to good in one spot

This has always been a thorn in my side when it comes to digital printing. I am currently running 2 20' x 4' banners which are primarily black and red. Somewhere along the 15' mark I see this 1/4' area where the ink did not go down well (possible contaminate from cheap chinese banner material...
  8. 55' banner to be put over existing banner question

I have a customer who wants me to make a 4 x 55 foot banner. He tells me because it is temporary that they are going to install it over the existing banner that is there now. I asked how I was going to put grommets in to match and he thinks I will go out there and measure them....NOT...
  9. can a profile create overspray when printing?

I would not think so but just out of curiosity could it happen?
  10. Print Faster - Lower Quality?

yes under the advanced tab in the rip and print, simply make your selections as to what you want to do you can go 360 x 540 then go to driver options and select how many passes and high speed if necessary
  11. reflective & water application

YES thats the stuff I used with the white backing!!!! Thats a bit of relief as I have 7 more of the Govt vehicles to do. I will say that when I did encounter the mould on some of the vehicles I did for CBSA about 6 years ago it was the same vinyl but we had applied it dry so we determined it...
  12. reflective & water application

dude.... I use the BS all the time and in fact very seldom ever do wet apps. If you have looked at a new Ford pickup truck you will see the problem. There is a contour that is very deep that runs along the tops of the wheel wells making a dry application of a 4" stripe damn hard and in some...
  13. reflective & water application

it is comforting to know that it can be done but wonder why I have been told for many years that soap and water can compromise the vinyl. Possible delaminating may be an issue, but now wonder after reading your 2 posts if it is BS!!! Mind tellingme what brandof reflective you used wet?
  14. reflective & water application

I have known for years that using soap and water with reflective is a no no,but wondered if Rapid tac is any better? I also would love to know the technical reasons why it can be bad? Is it releated only to 3M products? or any reflective. I just need to know as I am having severe difficulties...

  18. digital printed decals with all cuts ruined

I would agree except that when running better vinyls the problem is not there at all, even on small items with no bleed, the cutter is dead on. I am pretty sure it is the vinyl somehow screwed up the opus readings or maybe the heat caused it to stretch out just enough to be out by a 16th.
  19. digital printed decals with all cuts ruined

Not sure the title is very accurate but here is an interesting little story. I had a quick easy decal job for 500 3" x 2" decals with a square cut corner. These were for a reseller and he wanted an inexpensive material. I normally would run these types on a 5 year rated General...
