We use 3651 but not 210 anymore. Had too many call backs after about 3 years with the 210 shrinking. We now over-laminate with 3M 8500. It's fairly inexpensive, especially for a cast laminate. (which doesn't shrink up)
We use the 3M 8518 for wraps, etc. (two and one half times as much dough for...
And to add to what OP has said (and others) here's a thought.
I have seen a large truck lettered with a small sign on it's side, and also a that same type of truck with a ton of lettering virtually covering the sides. So (again, I'm assuming this is an all cut vinyl job) if you're not...
My roadster is getting too many rock chips. I'm going to have them fixed but, at a recent car club meet-up (last weekend) I noticed a lot of guys with the clear bra.
I'm wondering what the material is and if we have something like this.
Castek! Thanks, that was it! I set it to zero and I now get a correct reading.
Super! I don't know how that changed. But it was changed in both Queue A and Queue B.
Can it change by itself? Maybe with updates from Versaworks?
I probably haven't made myself clear enough.
As a test, I drew a box, 10"x10" and exported it to Versaworks to be printed. When I open it in Versaworks, the size of the file is clearly shown as a 10.2" by 10.2" file. And of course it prints that size, also.
I exported that same box as a .tif...
Ok, Fred. But this problem seems to be a bit different. For one thing, we've been going along with this setup for years. (Omega to Roland Versworks).
And, most interestingly, any and all files exported only grow by exactly .2" overall.
Something has happened in the last two days. Exporting .eps files created in Gerber Omega, but when our RIP software gets them they are .2" overall larger...in width and height.
I know it must be some sort of setting but can't locate it.
We use VersaWorks from Roland.
Any help greatly...
No. The encoder strip is a long clear strip, about 54" long by 1/2" high. It has barely discernible lines on it. (you'd have to look very, very close to see them). Remove the top of your machine. You can't miss it. The cutting head and print head moves along it as it travels back and forth...
You're pretty smart Marlene. I tried that and it worked!
I can use that for now as a work-around (great idea there), but hopefully I can still find a way to use the font as a regular GSP font.
Hi all,
I purchased a font on line today,(from FontSpring). I then downloaded it (it's an open type font), and un-zipped it. Since I need a ttf font, I went on-line to find a utility to convert otf to ttf. I used the utility to convert the font. I then located the font in my directory and then...
Thanks D, I did go to those YouTube videos but I'm trying to accomplish something a bit different.
I'm not sure how it's done, but I'm told you can apply a filter or whatever over the entire sign and it will create a sort of weathered look, using a blending mode.
I'm sure someone on this forum...
