  1. Need Help JV3-75 SP II Y current error

bushing is just a copper fitting. if there were issues, you would notice dings/scratches on your carriage rail. i would be concerned with the clunking noise, as the root of your error message. try to track down where exactly it is clunking, and you'll find your gremlin.
  2. Need Help JV3-75 SP II Y current error

that is a y-axis (scan direction) motor error. if you're having mechanical issues (clunking noise), then it may have something to do with the carriage rail or the bushing from the carriage that rides on it.
  3. Denali Template

Denali is the top-of-the-line version of the Yukon. do you have that template?
  4. Clear Vinyl Car Wrap Material

i've seen it done before in videos, and have done some smaller pieces with contours with clear.... same theory as wrapping, but adding wet-apply with heat assist for conforming, and waiting until morning to trim. i'd save the headache, however, as it won't look good unless you wrap the whole...
  5. What would you guys charge for a 3x6 color vinyl print with laminate?

$8psf for mounting prints to flat substrate. can go as low as $5-6 if they want cheap materials. so yeah, you're in our range, but that should be the already discounted price. 8 isn't really that many.
  6. JV3-160 Streaking Problem

so your issue started in 2016, replaced the printheads, and you just NOW need help aligning the machine? sounds like you could simply use a tech visit to get you setup properly. alignment procedures(link) are difficult to explain via forum posts, but my top piece of advice would be to get...
  7. Smoke Breaks...

Union shop here, same breaks since 1980: 10-10:10, 12-12:30, 2:30-2:40. Smoke em' if you got em!
  8. Suggestions How would you approach this?

you don't need to bend metal to make a pan, but people tend to for square signs because it saves on welding time. Otherwise, you form letter returns by bending/rolling aluminum strips, and weld it from the backside. .... seams are dealt-with by filling&sanding, or simply hiding in a corner you...
  9. Suggestions How would you approach this?

my top2 options would be: A) angle-mount a 4" graphic panel that sits below the seat B) remove one of the bars, throw it on a CNC/Engraver, and engrave "NO SMOKING" in it & fill with black. ooooor, thinking "outside of the box" simply put your NOSMOKING verbiage on the pillar to the right of...
  10. L25500 hard drive upgrade

i couldn't imagine why not, as long as they have identical connections then you should be able to make a bootable clone. edited to add: seems like there's proprietary protections built-in? Always thought you could clone any hard disk no matter what data is on it, but there were different steps...
  11. Lost cyan and yellow

did you lose colors suddenly, or was it result of some other maintenance you may have performed? not 100% familiar with that machine, but in the past people's posts about colors dropping-out, were result of damper manipulation causing the plastic bits(manifold) that they insert-into to...
  12. BLUE TINT IN LARGE FORMAT SCANS???

yeah, reading the user manual.... appears some simple fixes would include opening the unit, cleaning the glass plate, cleaning the white background platen, & when calibrating the machine... insert the calibration sheet printed-side-down.
  13. BLUE TINT IN LARGE FORMAT SCANS???

$5 says, there's a blue protective cover on the glass
  14. replacing a formed type face

3/16" polycarb, and agreed with hotspot comments.
  15. Ice cream maker needs printing help

duh ...because every gentleman can't wait to help a damsel in distress ...and then there's everyone else who simply likes ice cream :)
  16. News Vinyl Cracking In Cold Temps

definitely looks like a freeze&snap, but it shouldn't simply come off in large fields like that.... I could see possibly cracking, due to freezing temps and flex of the door panel, but I would guess that there might be a hint of car-wax in the equation? decal never fully-applied, but rather...
  17. Question Placing LED modules in Reverse Channel Letters

less hot-spots when mounted to clear backer, pointed at white-painted interior of channel letter to reflect an even-glow.
  18. Ice cream maker needs printing help

+1 to comments referencing Avery printable labels. The OP most likely already has a desktop printer, only needs 30 or so labels at a time, and is printing a label for a disposable product.... seems like a no brainer here to make your own. Save a buck continuing to outsource your 1000-prints...
  19. Making a time-lapse video

Best option would be via Mac or PC based software, that stiches photos into timelapse rather than recording large video files. what computer could you run it on? I remember Gawker being a nice free one for Mac, but that was nearly a decade ago. I'm still certain there are plenty of freeware...
  20. desktop signs

that's definitely Red Sintra/Komatex expanded PVC, hand-bent over a thermal-strip. Any plastic supplier carries it, if you want to do it yourself it's a piece-of-cake after a little trial/error.
