  4. Illustrator Cut Line

Draw your cut-line in a seperate layer in Illy. Looking at this shape it should take you about 2 minutes, tops. If you're having trouble with it, feel free to email me your Illy file and I'll help you out. I'm dead today. gary@circlevillesigns.com Gary
  5. Thoughts on this

I actually like the yellow. How about blocking out the black all-together - making your lettering outline into an outline that gives a solid black background? Personally, I like the wrench alot. Gary
  6. Window Lettering not showing up because of reflection!

Easiest fix is to sell them a full bleed window perf solution. If that is a no-go, then use a matte vinyl with a dark outline. Make the outline nice and thick. Gary
  7. Thoughts on this

The new one is better - I think that the all caps idea would REALLY overpower the logo. Maybe try flipping the yellow and chrome. make "Bryan's" chrome and "Automotive" yellow. Also, the script font for the city isnt' working for me...Ugh. Gary
  8. Thoughts on this

I personally like the thicker outline, but I tend toward that style of design. Agree that you should go with a closed end combo wrench. Otherwise, great work! Gary

  12. CD Cover

I like it MUCH better now!!! Gary
  13. Getting an in house laminator on a budget...opinions needed.

I'm glad Doyle has had success with the Daige, but in my experience, they are CRAP. For anything longer than a small print, you need two people to run it (one to pull back the backing paper as there is no uptake reel). The amount of pressure they apply is nowhere NEAR even. I dunno - I've...

  16. Foam Cor Curling???

Vinyl shrinks. And expands. If you put it on something that is not as strong as the vinyl, you will get curling, etc. Foam Cor is not a great product to apply vinyl to. Print directly onto it, or sub out to someone that has a flat bed. Otherwise, explain to your client why Foam Cor is not a...
  17. Football!!

My Bengals are playing well, although the self-inflicted damage (OMG, how many false starts can you have in a game!!??!!) was painful to watch. Still though, we've pretty much got the AFC north locked down, as well as the #3 seed at worst in the playoffs. Gary
  18. Illy can't open .eps file?

Bad file upload/download. Try re-downloading the files. If that doesn't work, have him RE-SAVE them, and then re-upload. Gary
  19. Should you fire this employee?

Actually, I agree. If the OP wouldn't mind seeing if there was a way to do that, I'd appreciate it. Gary
