  1. Another hand lettered "Weathered" piece

Really turned out swell. I love making these things. My lid from my Japan drier fell down inside the can somehow and I am sick of the smell of it. hahaha Love....Jill
  2. yard signs

What the other fellas said is true. Why even try to get into a market where people can just order yard signs directly online for $1 each? And magnetic signs can be had at $39 a pair via Kinko's or even cheaper on eBay/craigslist. Buy yourself a Cricut and start selling stickers at the flea...
  3. Question for Jillbeans....

OK I am back from a short vacation mostly spent with boxed wine. :) Here are my deep-down pinup links, beside Mike's, which is the best. Vargas Elvgren Elvgren 2 Andy Nortnik Clipart Brown & Bigelow Great American Pin Ups That orta be enough fwapping...er..a..flogging inspiration for...
  4. New Shop Helper

Congratulations. I hope everything works out for you. :) Love....Jill
  5. Red and Green Giant

Looks much better than what you started with. I would think about using a nicer script for Mart, like one from Signfonts.com
  6. Help removing frosted vinyl.

Agree 100% with Bob. No heat guns around windows, even if you are in AZ. The cracked glass will be way more expensive to replace. I will go as far as using a regular hair dryer, but not a heat gun. That and a wide-bladed razor scraper with a decent handle. Then the Rapid Remover for...
  7. Calling all font gurus...

    Reminds me of Flyboy. Love....Jill
  8. It's Been Awhile...

Welcome back! Glad to hear you are busy. Love....Jill
  9. Al Checca

I can finally afford to donate something. :) Other than smart aleck remarks. Heal up fast, Al, we are pulling for you. Well maybe that was a bad choice of words.
  10. Dancing Girl Video

Sadly, this is the most exciting thing that's happened to me all summer. Love....Jill
  11. Sunny's Tanning help

Another one of Arthur's fonts, Opening Night. (trying to avoid a job I don't want to do today) The "sun" on this one makes my eyes vibrate though...not good.
  12. Sunny's Tanning help

Mine was indeed Wade Dynamic. Arthur Vanson's fonts are always my "go-to" choices. :) I think Adrian's might be A&S Truckin', another fave.
  13. Sunny's Tanning help

Here's a quick idea with a couple-a color variations. Probably nothing like what she's looking for. Mine looks more like a sign than a logo tho.
  14. Sunny's Tanning help

I never let a client see that many typefaces. I try to get a feel for what they want then I choose up to three nice fonts for them to peruse. With what you have so far, it's kind of unappealing and ghetto looking. But maybe that's what she wants, sounds like she's stuck in the 90s. :)...
  15. Sign Contractors Pricing Guide Question

You go by the cap size. The signwriter's pricing guide is always high (that's why I love it) If you are pricing in front of a customer (which I rarely do) this guide can be a form of validation. After all, it's written in a real book, not pulled out of the sky. The first part...
  16. Red and Green Giant

Green and red together are always problematic. Either there is not enough contrast or it ends up looking like Christmas. I think you need to add white as an aid to more legibility. I would also change the fonts to something bold yet simple. Love....Jill
  17. what is that thing?

That's where the picture of Ralph Fiennes goes. Love....Jill
  18. Try #2 New Logo

Do not use an orange "i", looks like either a d!ck or a weird macaroni man. It's better than what you had, but I don't like logos with a big first and last letter. Seems like one can never get the proportions quite right. The font looks smashed or something, then the stretched other letters...
  19. Name suggestions for gift sign? (pottery maker)

Yeah they are pretty lame looking at that. :( Maybe they were hitting the catnip too hard. My heart was just totally not into this.
  20. Graphics for steel roller shutters?

If you mean the kind that are like what is on a firetruck, yes, I have applied vinyl and carefully carefully sliced between the panels. Love....Jill
