  1. Before/After planning stages

OK round two. Totally nixed the first attempt. Is this any better? The one thing I can't have, which I would like to have, are borders. This one is a little cleaner maybe. I got the arrow wrong on the office complex. But I like the idea of grouping the places where the arrows go. And I...
  2. Before/After planning stages

Darn it I was going to use the Grampa Dan endorsed Wingding dingbats! :) PS I'll take all the suggestions I can get.
  3. Laundry List Wording?

I'm doing his truck too but he wants that really simple. I told him to save all the info for his bizcard. Thanks so much, this is one of those deer in the headlights days today. :) I really appreciate your help.
  4. Before/After planning stages

I am going to re-do a sign I made (not installed) at least 10 years ago for my church. The panels are 2'x4' Alumalite. When I first did this I was so proud of myself, now I cringe because it is soooo computer ugly. I'm embarrassed to post it here. My vision at that time was to have a...
  5. Laundry List Wording?

This is straight from the customer's email reply when I asked for which services he'd like to be listed on the back of his bizcard: Landscape Design and Imaging Tree and Shrub Installation Wall and Patio Installation Lawn Renovation and Installation Lawn and Landscape Maintenance...
  6. Al Checca

I hope everyone realizes that you are also doing this with very little pain relief. You are my hero Al. (in the landlord-lady from Kingpin's voice)
  7. Font Rant !!!!

Adrian you know you'd like that leg if it was wearing fishnets. (drooling)
  8. Sign to withstand freeze and snow (SUBSTRATE?)

I believe DiBond is made in Canada. Whatever you do, don't use PVC. I'd stick with Dibond. I'd rather pay for something I knew would work than have to replace it when it fails. Love....Jill
  9. Font Rant !!!!

I hate all the Rs on the Atkinson fonts. (twitching) Even though I love Atkinson fonts.
  10. Font Rant !!!!

If forced to choose between Arial or Helvetica I would go with Helvetica. I hate Arial's slanted ends on Ss and Cs. So many times I will get "designer" artwork sent to me by clients, and so many times it's Arial. (insert eye roll) Oooh how avant garde! (nudge nudge iSign) :) I really do...
  11. aluminum signs with numbers vs. painted numbers

Make sure you know the measurement of the biggest painted number, even if it means going around to all 500 units. Then price aluminum big enough to cover the numbers. My supplier will cut a 4'x8' into whatever size I need, even an odd size, for a nominal fee. You could probably get away with...
  12. Log o design critique

Only one small suggestion: Smooth out the part at the bottom of the "s" where the swoosh starts. Not 100% keen on the river color but it might be my monitor (the rivers around here are kinda greenish) I think it looks great. Chuck Borges makes the nicest fonts. Nice guy too. Love....Jill
  13. Drawlings!

Craigslist Ad Usually I just look at naked pictures on Craigslist but I thought this ad was humorous on many levels. :clapping: Love....Jill
  14. Getting started as a hobby

Oh it does. They even buy premium subscriptions. This guy said from the get-go he was an RC hobbyist. He may cut sports team stuff for his daughter. Neither one of those is going to effect my business, really. There's one guy over the hill who eats up hours of my life wanting specific RC...
  15. Hand did before and after

You took that from trailer park looking to fit for a mansion! Impressive work! I love seeing and getting to do this sort of job. Love....Jill
  16. New business card design

I like that a lot. The colors seem different than what you usually use and it's a nice change. I only have about 20 cards left myself...hmmm. Maybe time for my own re-do! Love....Jill
  17. Let's help Al Checca! Panel Drive.

Cool! Thanks Bob. Got a note from my friend Neil in Wales he'll be breaking out the brushes too. And Doug, that is extra nice of you. Like I said, any type of panel will be appreciated. I will make one for each dentist too.
  18. Al Checca

    Let's Help Al!!!
  19. Let's help Al Checca! Panel Drive.

As you may know, Al needs another kidney transplant but is not able to get onto the waiting list due to dental issues/no dental insurance. Luckily two local dentists have donated their services to Al. Their names are Dr. Timko and Dr. Rawa. Al has started getting the very painful procedures...
  20. Nor'easter 2010 Rescheduled Date Discussion Thread

Watch for this in your mailbox. If there is a meet, it can be a door prize. If not, you can keep it for your efforts. :thankyou: Love....Jill
