We have a red one and use a camera tripod we had. My installer loves it
  4. A strange "what would you charge"

I agree with those who say, how can you charge more than he could buy them wholesale for? It's a favor for another shop, so I think the $7.50 number is about right.
  5. Suggestions for this installation pleast

We'd overlap, decide which will be easiest to get a straight edge at the overlap and put that down last.Probably put down the blue first then have the black short of the seam to have a nice straight line. Clean like any metal. We use only the best cast materials on trucks
  6. Question Reverse Printable Media for Edge

Lexedge is a great but not for football helmets
  7. What kind of Work Truck do you have?

4x4 Extended Cab Pickup with 8' bed, top side tool boxes & full steel ladder rack. This has been our setup for 20+ years. Fits just about everything and we can tow anything we rent. We've also usually had a older mini van or suv for an extra vehicle
  8. Question Reverse Printable Media for Edge

Looks to be just clear vinyl, albeit a new convex clear, which can be used for reverse printing decals.
  9. Need Help Hand multiple layer pvc sign to bracket

If you are bonding two layers of 1/2" pvc together you can screw & glue a couple of hanging straps into the sign between the layers.
  10. Material for full window decals installed inside facing out?

Vacant space? Unless this is one of those high end places that like to spend lots of money on marketing- print on paper or poly and tape to the inside of the glass. Save the client lots of money and you look like a hero.
  11. Painting question new here

Agree, a little more info would be good. What you're doing now doesn't sound terrible when dealing with lots of small signs. We have some board with nails driven thru them so points are up to put letters on when we are painting them. Some version of that may work. I think I would search what...

Matthews or Gemini and as was said, they're polished brass, not gold

  15. Need Help Have a problem with adhesive residue on a window

That is a new one to me. Is her tint a film or is the glass itself tinted? You did the intsall and didn't notice it? Have you tried cleaning it?
  16. Equipaint

geez....that's being a little thin skinned. Interesting to note that of the top contributors to this site half are dead or gone...
  17. Question Chrome colors with Gerber Edge

I'd prefer to print transparent on chrome vinyl...but it may work both ways.
  18. Pop up sign makers everywhere

I never liked the "they take customers I don't want" theory. Every person who uses a hack is a potential lost client. Lots of customers start out cheap and ignorant but some of them turn into long term repeat customers. And those places that are "giving it away" because they have no overhead"...
  19. Gold Leaf Pricing

I thought gold leaf on trucks was always cleared otherwise it would get scratched
  20. Gold Leaf Pricing

Yep, for real leaf I'd be double if I had to do it on site. They look nice with a accent stripe too.
