  1. Mascot Update... Again.

I'm curious as to why you're making a second pass at this. Your first one was home run.
  2. Mascot Update... Again.

Looks like a pirate with feathers. I really liked your first one better. The one in the mag....not the head dress one. Actually...he kind of reminds me of Alice Cooper. With feathers. Your "first attempt" leaves no doubt that it's an Indian chief.
  3. Looking for a Used Plotter?

Has that thing got sprocket drive?
  4. Shop van design critique

The logos are too hard to read.
  5. Thoughts on Master Pro cutters?

I've had good luck with mine but you might want to look for a good used roland, graphtec or the like. A lot of people on this site think Master plotters are crap. I've never owned anything else so I have no idea.
  6. Is it customer's fault or mine

I try to do what Joe said. Make them submit the text in a word doc. I'm always hitting the wrong keys. A printed proof is a good idea too.... even if you just print it out on your desktop inkjet. It always looks different printed on paper. If i'm really worried about making a mistake I print it...
  7. The wonders of "nephew art".....

So what font is "Rock"? I "wanna" get it!
  8. Master xy-300

I high lighted the most obvious mistakes for you. Normally I would never make fun of a person's language abilities. You are a special case though because you were belittling a Chinese person for having trouble with english when you clearly have the same weakness. As for the "idiot"...
  9. Master xy-300

A French Canadian complaining about someone using broken english..... priceless. The people at Desay probably figured out that you're an idiot and stopped responding to your emails and calls.
  10. Wednesday Coro-Plane update. She's In!!

Here you go: http://buildyourownultralight.com/skypup.html 400 lbs. gross on 20 hp. What have you got for wing area there Maniac?
  11. Master xy-300

The few times I called Desay, Dave was very helpful. I called and ordered a new cutting strip and had it in a couple days. If you bash someone's business in a public forum you may be affecting their ability to feed their family. Make sure you are being fair in your assesment of their service.
  12. Stripes

You're going to want to go side hinge on this one. You can cut the stripe down if the van has doors etc. That will give you a shorter stripe to work with. Normally you would just put the stripe on and cut at the doors after. Beware of the stripe "wandering" as you install it. Make some guide...
  13. Small Print & Cut Jobs

    What about an Edge?
  14. Manual hole punch/PVC?

I'd be scared pvc would crack....especially if I only had one shot at it without doing a test. I can tell you that it drills fine. If you hit it with one of those hollow punches I'm 99% sure it will crack if you're anywhere close to an edge.
  15. Hand made Windsor settee I'm working on.

Here is the finished product. The finish is 3 coats of milk paint and a light coat of lacquer followed by paste wax. (with lots of buffing between each coat.) I couldn't be bothered to go get bees wax and turps so I just used some Butchers wax I had on hand. Normally I would mix up bees wax...
  16. Printing on vinyl for coroplast signs

I was wondering about all those 7 year coro signs me'self.
  17. Spot on wrap

I'd be thrilled if my local competition would do that to their shop truck.
  18. How would you go about redoing this sign?

Use a new panel. The old one is all yellowed. Cut vinyl will look better and last longer. It's pretty easy to do too. Use translucent vinyl though. Regular looks like crap when it's lit up.
  19. Beyond The Lighted Stage?

What have you been smoking dude?
  20. Jazz Cafe Reverse Channel Letters Finished

    Very nice design and execution.
