Yeah. They get an “uptick” and shut down. Saving lives. They’re doing it the right way if you care about your populace.
Also, who is the “he” you’re referring to when you say “he probably will blame that on us...”
I went to a demo once so take from that what you will, but they gave an extra 1” overlap on each print (this method puts more emphasis on the installer being good than anything else).
So basically they throw the first panel up, then put the second panel on top, heavily over panel 1 (by around...
First of all. I’d avoid calling it DP. A quick google about that will get you a whole lot of different results that don’t involve digital printing lol
You made the right decision going digital for small to medium orders. Much easier to set up and you can do one-off orders easily.
As far as...
One thing I usually do, is I copy/paste the circle I want to add the text in then do the text on the duplicate, that way you can change the shape etc slightly without affecting your original circle.
makes it easier for the text that goes along the bottom too, as naturally that will need...
Plenty stuff about this online but yeah, the tangential head lifts up before turning any direction. Drag knife does not.
Benefits to that mentioned above.
Agree with the service contract also. We get one free print head a year (haven’t needed any yet) but they’re about £4k each. We also get a tech out within 6 “working” hours of a service call.
We do also run canon digital machines so they have to be extra nice to us lol
I forgot to mention...

It’s the nozzle check you have to worry about. If that’s the best nozzle check he can get out of it (to make it look sellable) then you’re going to have a hard time printing anything that doesn’t look crappy.
That does not look like a machine that’s been properly cared for based on the photos...
Can you confirm it’s not warped before it goes in? Ours always comes in with a nice curve on it. Usually have to lay it all flat and put some heavy stuff on it for a day or two before using it
I’ve been trying a new thing recently (with great results) where I tape the loaded roll to an actual roller instead of the old stuff that’s in there. Tape centre first then a bit at each end. Pulls it though perfectly straight.
just gotta watch out for it staying on the roller once it comes...
I’d refer back to Canuk’s post.
you’re basically selecting the part you want to create a cut line on, creating a line that’s slightly into your artwork (I.e bleeds) and using that as your cut line.
im not sure how familiar you are with creating cut files but as long as the cut line is a spot...
