With 99% of our customers it’s that they’ve been given some weird file types (ai/eps etc) that they haven’t been able to open so just don’t bother retaining them. The email gets forgotten about. Gone forever. Just like Hillary’s.
The problem is likely saturation. You’re probably laying down too much ink on such a thin paper.
That’ll be why the lighter colours are easier, less ink.
depending on how you’re running the printer, you probably have to have a look at the ink limits in the profile.
Sharp scissors to help fight off the looters would be ideal.
On a serious note, I always thought it was just a select few printers that done yard signs in America. You’d need to have a really good setup to blast out the amount of yard signs you guys go through. Does it really go that quiet...
I ended up having to do one of these for canvases. We do a deal regularly and every single photo we get is from Facebook downsampled to 72dpi and only looks great as a postage stamp.
Now I just send them a PDF with a bunch of “please don’t use Facebook, WhatsApp..” etc.
I used to say “please...
We do have a lot of the specialty vinyls but I was more talking the run of the mill stuff.
Essentially, for your case, instead of the IJ35 we’d print everything short to medium term on the IJ40. Even just that little switch has saved us a bunch of time.
That and instead of buying in matt and...
I think the recommendation is to always flush your lines before mixing solvents. There’s a good chance you won’t have an issue but it may not be worth the risk.
I’m not familiar with Canadian ink suppliers but if you’ve found one that works for you and you’re not having any issues; i wouldn’t...
So about a year ago we switched from using polymeric and monomeric vinyls and laminates to full polymeric (basically we stopped using the really cheap stuff). I’m pretty sure I got the idea from a member here.
when doing this, we also switched to only Matt vinyls. We used to have Matt and gloss...
So how many times a day are you switching rolls on the HP? Is it running 24/7?
Again, If you’re switching rolls often it may be that the HP is a bad fit.
But again, even on our Colorado we waste 3’ at the end of every roll (though we can use the vinyl) so there’s going to be a decent bit of...
I think he meant the 7k worth of vinyl would have translated to 30k in actual sales?
if they were doing 30k a year in revenue but were losing 7k a year from 1.5-2’ worth of vinyl every now and then I’d be super worried lol
Is this because you’re switching rolls often? Or just due to the amount of rolls you’re putting in?
Our Colorado can print on about the first 3mm of any new roll of vinyl but wastes about 3’ at the end of every roll that it won’t print on (as it stops printing the minute the paper/vinyl comes...
“the new printers deliver output ready for immediate lamination at true production speeds up to 290 square feet per hour.”
The “up to” wouldn’t fill me with hope but I’m going to say it’ll be standard entry level-ish speeds.
My thoughts too. My life would be a lot easier if I could recommend a SwissQ to anyone asking about a mimaki JFX lol
If someone’s asking about a roll to roll, at least suggest a R2R within the same price ballpark.
Think he’s looking for a r2r instead of a hybrid/flatbed. Unless he can get the hybrid for the same price as that mimaki!
To the OP, we looked at getting the mimaki and settled for a Colorado - though I definitely wish we had the white ink.
The print speeds do seem relatively slow (compared...
I see Roberts ad down there. It doesn’t really tell you what he actually does. Being completely honest I couldn’t tell you what Robert actually does. Maybe I need to work on my listening skills? Anyone know a guy?
He even spammed a thread where someone was asking if they should get a summa or a colex. You’d think he’d at least reply to that thread as if he weren’t a bot.
Maybe we should all listen to the webinar. If I’ve learned anything from any of our merchant members it’s that listening is VERY important. Almost as important as sharp scissors.
