I don't think you can achieve this in Flexi using the gradient tool. The Blend effect might work for you.

This may work in some instances. But if a file contains a clipping mask around a gradient (which Flexi will parse as a million separate shapes), then you will have a mess on your hands with no polygon left with which to re-mask the offending gradient. The masks can be frustrating at times, but...

If you can't find a profile for static cling, I would suggest tweaking your current profile by upping the resolution, passes and heat.

I sometimes have the same issue as the OP. In order to give myself some wiggle room, I will step and repeat the contour cuts in Flexi and add a transparent .5" outline to the resulting grid. Works great.

I am having some serious static problems on certain media in the JV33. A tech suggested using anti-static tinsel. It looks very similar to Christmas garland. Where are you attaching the garland, Chicago?

While that will make the existing stroke transparent, the stroke is technically still there. I would instead suggest pushing the "Clear" button which will eliminate the stroke rather than changing it's color.
