  3. VJ1604 colour question

Hmmm... I have the same cutter. I'm understanding this now as when the pf adjust is made so that it prints accurate to measure, the lines show up. When the pf is made to make the best print, it is too inaccurate for the plotter to read. Sounds like those missing nozzles aren't so bad you can't...
  4. New office....Valuejet not connecting!!

What rip are you using? I went a little mental once because all my ip settings were correct, but I didn't have the correct port selected within the rip.

  6. VJ1604 colour question

I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly or if it does or doesn't make a difference, but do this; Make sure "initial" is 500 before running the test, then change the initial accordingly and run the confirm. Otherwise, it will print how much it is off of 500 by the # in the initial, and not 500...

:ROFLMAO: O.K. A printer fell in your lap. Excellent! Get familiar with it. Try things, and you'll figure things out as you go along. Get a file from Illustrator (or whatever) to the rip and through the printer. You'll figure it out. Once you get comfortable with the printer & work-flow the...

  10. Business Card layout help

Actual information & logo art will help dictate the layout. Sometimes a logo may throw the composition one way or another. Could be the shape, colors, etc... Hard to even say whether or not it should be horizontal or vertical at this point.
  11. Illustrator oddball

That's a new one! If all else fails, put your monitor on a 45 to balance things out.

Thanks for the info. Going to look at the Oce on the 9th. Then the Truepress and it's little brother sometime soon.
  15. Océ Arizona 550 XT / Fuji Acuity Advance HS

That's funny - I'm also going to be looking at the Screen 2500. Not going to get to the Arizona demo this week, but will sometime soon. We'll have to compare notes along the way!
  16. Sign critique / logo

Was what I said not constructive? I was merely suggesting direction.
  17. Sign critique / logo

Pick a font. Pick an element. Grow it from there, not the other way around.
  18. VJ-1604 issue

Did you put in a different roll of the same stuff? I recently had 3 rolls from a bad lot batch that did the same thing.
  19. Am I crazy or is 4OVER trying to get "over" on me

If they're going to take orders like they do, they need to have it possible to clarify vertical/horizontal as file supplied or right-reading.
