Maybe I'm wrong, but I took the OP to mean that he is an employee, not the owner of the shop. Kind of hard to tell the boss you refuse to do something, even if it is bad.
briankb is right. Handmade Treasures should be the main focus. With a business like this, what they do is more important than who they are. Customers are going to stop because it is an antique store, not because Michael J owns it.
Most fast food restaurants in my town have those. Many look even worse. They work in a burger joint, what do they know about installing window graphics?
I love both, especially the alternate. I was always addicted to video arcades back in the day. I would have never left if they'd served hummus and other Mediterranean food.
The OP isn't saying the quotes given were too high or that he didn't get a S101 discount. He is claiming his original quotes were doubled and tripled when it came time to place the order.
Gino, if you are trying to include me in your blanket statement, I have no desires or intentions of stealing business from merchant members. I tried to do a one-time favor for a fellow signmaker whose shop is an hour or so down the road. I doubt any MM will miss the revenue from that one POS...
