  5. memjet wide format - extreme speed

I sincerely doubt it's twice as fast as the big industrial corporate color copier/printers without any other advantages. Also it's pointless for the poster market as posited above as that market is in the offset realm for any sort of reasonable volume. Can't say I get it, though I'd love to...
  6. Not full wrap just side graphics on a boat

Ah, worries of the water working into the channels? Interesting. I guess that would be a concern if you don't squeegee the heck out of it, good info.

Yep at least pay some dude in India $50 on 99designs.com* or whatever instead of looking for freebies without showing you've done due diligence and effort. *Spec work is evil
  9. Best Computer to use for Work Station

Technically it doesn't free up RAM, it frees up HD space as it cleans out temp files, cache files, etc. The registry cleaner does a decent job as well, too many uninstallers leave crap behind (Revo Uninstaller is a good app too). I just don't like a messy system. It's also good to run before...
  10. Not full wrap just side graphics on a boat

Rapid Air, it's what Oracal calls vinyl with air egress channels. We do 3951RA for almost all vehicles--cast makes a big difference (and 290 lam of course). Haven't done many boats so I'm not sure on the RA vs no RA debate for marine. Can't see how it could make a difference after install?

  13. iPhone coming to Verizon, No seriously

What you're waiting for is the Droid Bionic, announced at CES, should be available ~April. It's like a Verizon super-charged EVO. Dual-core, front facing cam, 2.3, etc. I'm also a Droid X user, knew the LTE phones were coming but figured there will be additional data charges, plus it won't be...
  14. Logo Help Needed

Any particular reason it needs to by Myriad? Why brand yourself with the second most popular (good) sans-serif? It's a nice font but not something people will remember without some serious modification.
  15. usb to serial driver issues switching from xp to 7

jemmyell's suggestion is a good one, whenever you can't find Win7 drivers try the Vista drivers they usually work as it's the same underlying OS. 7 is just Vista with a UI refresh and less aggressive user warnings.

Ok I thought you had really skinny production people or something!
  17. Vendor Agreement

Non-competes are rarely enforceable but I don't see any reason why you wouldn't just negotiate terms you can live with and work with it. The "handshake" days are long gone and if you ever deal with big agencies you're going to see more and more of these agreements. They're asking you for the...

  19. We need an updated "show us your shop" thread

How do you load vinyl on your printers if they're against the wall like that? Wheel them away from the wall every time you do a switch out?
  20. CMYK and pantone colors displaying as rgb in coreldraw

In most cases it is defacto the way Corel or Flexi exports as I can open them back in Corel or Flexi and see the problems still. Corel for example has a nasty habit of converting gradients to thousands of chopped up embedded image files, Flexi has it's own set of problems, etc. Really EPS...
