They don't HAVE to be rounded as long as they'll fit, but generally if the retainer is rounded the face is as well (at least every one we've ever run across).
The OP already stated they were aware of safety issues and indicated they were considering outsourcing the project already.
"Everyone has to start somewhere, but this might not be the job to learn on, consider outsourcing this and observing," is a reasonable response. "lolololololol" and all...
Gino, why do you feel the need to do this to every single person who asks a question? Unless you deem it "worthy" you go on the attack every time.
What's the point? This is a forum for sharing knowledge. You're making it so people don't want to ask questions. When will you be happy? When no one...
This is what so many people fail to understand, top to bottom. You get talented people, you do what it takes to keep them. If you pay an exceptional employee average wages, they're not going to hang around.
I know you said it's paper, but can you treat the area with an anti-static spray before printing (easier said than done on a roll to roll machine)?
Short of keeping your print room at 70 degrees and 50% humidity, I've never found a perfect way to deal with static.
Looks like a starvation issue. Not super familiar with the FB500, but my guess is the subtank can't fill quickly enough and by the time it gets to the end of the media, the head isn't getting enough ink from the subtank.
So when you print pure white next to a block of color, for instance, the white has a slight hue to it the first few passes?
Could be a static/overspray issue? Some of the CMYK inks getting on the white heads and creating a slight off color for the first few passes. That would be my best guess.
All jokes aside, it's pretty atrocious and obtrusive. A lot of people are unaware of ad blockers or just don't want to use them. Wouldn't be surprised if the ads drove traffic way down. Had the site been like this when I first joined, I know for certain I would have moved along. Nothing says...
Depends. If you're paying a dude $12 an hour to strip and reapply, it's probably going to save a ton of money. If you work by yourself (which, I believe you do, correct?) you're probably billing your time and labor at a higher rate. Just gotta check your numbers.
Is this true? It would make sense, I guess. Less melanin to block light would mean more "glare" from sunlight? Now I'm gonna have to look this up tonight.
Formula is also dependent upon lighting, as well as the observer. Two colors that look exactly the same in 5500K light could look vastly different in 3000K light. Likewise, a person with more or less types of cone cells will view colors differently than those of us with three (red, green, and...
Yes and no. Yes, they exist. No, they won't work. There are too many variables to be able to print straight from manufacturer recommendations.
It's impossible to talk about color management without getting into a crazy amount of details, because it's an incredibly complex subject. The "best"...
