How short is short term. I would say you shouldn't have any issues for a golf tournament or something similar. I wouldn't trust it for anything longer then a week outside though. You just don't know.
You said you use Rapid Tack or Rapid Prep. Which is it. Both should be used. First Rapid Prep to remove anything from the surface. Then Rapid Tack to remove any residue left from RapidPrep solution. This is in their instructions. RapidPrep can not be used by itself. It leaves residue no...
I don't think it's overspray. If it looks like banding my guess would be optimizer. Optimizer is clear but certain substrates you can see it. Also if you have a vector that is colored white there is a lot of times where the HP will lay down optimizer but no color. My guess is you have a...
Please get rid of the pop up bar at the bottom of the screen. This thing pops up every time you change the page. Seems like ads seem to be increasingly prominent on the website. Just about everywhere you can squish something in.
You will always have left over ink in the cartridge. This is to minimize print issues and to keep air out of the lines. There is no way to make the printer use the remaining ink. In my opinion there is no real benefit to trying to save this and put it back into another cartridge. There are...
Laminating 1160 overtop of cut vinyl is 3M recommended and warrantied if done correct with matching materials. But your right it doesn't look as good as a digital print. Digital Print was not an option with 3M a year+ ago though and many larger freeway signs like this they specifically ask for...
The laminate goes on these signs regardless if it's digital or cut ec film. You still need laminate over EC film because the State specs call for Anti-Graffiti coating. Usually this would be 3M 1160 but that doesn't get used all the time. Instead sometimes a cheaper alternative is used.
No no no. This is almost positively unmatched materials. Someone using avery or hexis overlaminate on top of 3M reflective. The inspectors can tell if you use 3M reflective or not but they have no idea if you use the appropriate over laminate. There is a large shop in California that is not...
Maybe this is roland. I believe there are certain HP parts we can buy from Grimco but there are also certain things that HP controls the inventory on. While Grimco has the parts and can sell the install if you want to but the parts yourself you have to contact HP directly. So then they can...
This happens to our spoil boards all the time. Seems to lay flat when it's cool in the shop, Once the shop starts to heat a little the moisture leaves the surface much faster then the bottom that is covered. We have found no way to prevent it. When it starts to get bad we flip the table. I...
