Shut the machine off and manually move the entire carriage (cut/print) to the "home" position (all the way to the left). You won't break the machine. It should reset the machine.

We have been pleased with the overall gloss level. The only irritation left is profiles for polypropylene and translucent materials. We can't get them figured out and we use them a bunch.
