  1. Question What is the best Rtape clear choice to use with Oracal 651

We have been using Poli-Tape for years but it seems the last few years the static problem has been horrible. Oddly it seems like it has gotten worse since we got a humidifier (as I thought that would help the problem). And don't get me started on how much I hate AT75. I accidentally bought 4...
  2. Why won't my "Easy Weed" setting save/stay?

This is still driving me nuts on why it does these random things. Another annoying things I have noticed is when you do check the "around text and groups" it also changes the weed margin from 0.1" to 0.04" for some reason. And then it also unchecks the "overcut" setting. It does this every...
  3. how to recover cut files from Flexi

I normally just use a USB case for the old hard drive so I can just plug it in and get any files off of it I may need.
  4. Why won't my "Easy Weed" setting save/stay?

That is what is odd. Most settings stay as your last job. This one setting does not though. It always defaults to unchecked even if I check it, save the file and open that exact file back up.
  5. Why won't my "Easy Weed" setting save/stay?

I don't understand why production manager won't save my easy weed setting of "Around groups and text". Driving me nuts. Years ago that was the default setting but now if I want to use that I have to tic off the check box every time I go to cut. It was great as it put just a box around each...
  6. Swatch Table in Flexi 12

You can make your own. Obviously gradients are pretty easy to make. You can take an existing gadient, change the colors to what you want then save as a new color. The patterns you can also make. It has been a while since I have done it so can't give instructions how to. But I know I have...
  7. Random white spots on red.

So I had a print to do with small red lines so thought I'd limit ink by 10% on this print just to see how it looked. All that did was cause my reds to be more "washed out" looking and oddly a small dot still appeared on the red.
  8. Random white spots on red.

I'll certainly try these recommendations. But since it only happens with solid red and is so few and far between it may be a while before I can report back with any updates on what works or doesn't. I really don't want to do any dramatic changes since the colors print so great using this...
  9. Random white spots on red.

Yeah, it's just so odd that it only happens on red because it looks like contamination of the roll but you would think it would do it on other colors if so or just on one particular roll.
  10. Random white spots on red.

A year later, still having the problem. Just took me 9 prints to get 2 decals that were usable (on Arlon DPF 8000 this time). Luckily the decals weren't huge but still a PITA to constantly having to reprint.
  11. Is SVG ever going to be supported?

Yes, normally the files I have issues with are fairly complex or simply have been drawn in an inefficient way by the designer. You know the files...crazy masking or gradients, a vector covering something up instead of just making the layer underneath is correct, etc. And I do feel like the...
  12. Is SVG ever going to be supported?

Yeah, I get it. I constantly have problems with .ai, .pdf, or .eps files not working as they should in Flexi. But they usually do which is what I'd like to see. I understand that sometimes I'd still need to use another program as I do with those more common files/programs but it would be nice...
  13. Is SVG ever going to be supported?

Yeah, I have an Adobe subscription and Draw too. But I normally just open the file in Inkscape as it seems to render more reliably. Then export as eps or pdf depending on the design. It's just an extra step that is becoming more "needless" since the format has gotten so popular. Of coarse it...
  14. Is SVG ever going to be supported?

The SVG format has been pretty popular now for years. I'd say about 25% of my customers send me SVG files instead of some other vector format these days. Pretty much all online design software (online product designers) require SVG format. Heck, even our web browsers support SVG so not sure...
  15. Need supplier to buy my eco-solvent Roland inks from?

In all honesty I shop around almost every time I buy. I was using signoutletstore.com but it annoyed me that when you placed an order online you had to call them back to verify your information...total waste of time as if I wanted to make a phone order I would've just called them in the first...
  16. How do you organize or pick your font?

I use NexusFont program to quickly view them. You can also add make collections to organize them into styles you may be looking for.
  17. Vinyl vendor

Lol. I quit buying from signoutletstore.com for a similar reason. I would order online then they would call (normally I'd have to call them back) to confirm the order. Why the hell do you have the option to order online if you want to speak to everyone on the phone? If I wanted it to be a...
  18. Colors Blah??

Also make sure the colors are RGB. At least in Flexi I have a lot of issues when the customer sends me a file where the colors are CMYK (since my profiles only print accurately using the RGB color pallet). But as others have said, the canned profiles are never perfect. So if it prints other...
  19. FlexiSign Pro Gradients

I used to see these lines a lot more often but once I got my profile dialed in I really don't see them anymore. As other have said it would be best to create an image of the gradient since that prints better. The easiest way that I know to do this would be simply create a rectangle the size of...
  20. Need Help Flexisign 8 contour cut help

Since this is a jpeg in the example, I would go to the bitmap menu, select "make transparent" and click on all the spots you want removed from the image. You may have to play around with the tolerance until you get the results you want as it may take out part of the image you want to leave or...
