So I have been debating a new machine for way to long and I have still yet to make a decision. I am really leaning towards a Mimaki JV150. For their reputation and their price. BUT, why are they so cheap right now, promotions have them going for $11,000 for the JV150-160.
Are they fading...
Need some advise. I currently have a Roland SP-540v and I have a 24" graphtec (both old and losing steam) for smaller stuff and now I am upgrading (still undecided) my setup. I know I want a separate printer and a separate plotter. So I know i'm getting a 54"-60" printer but my question is...
Well I have thought about that but I have not worked with to much mesh banner and wasnt sure how it would hold up and it would need to be a maroon color on both sides.
I have a customer that is wanting some tennis windscreens with logos/artwork on them. Anybody have any suggestions where to go for these. I found a few places searching google but figured I would try here to see if anyone had any suggestions or knew of any wholesalers to order them from.
Thanks for the advise.
Now my supplier is pricing the heads out at $1,157 each. Does that sound about right for those or should I order online? I would want it from a replicable company and not Ebay Chinese heads.
How difficult is the actual changing of the heads on a Roland SP-540v? I know my machine pretty well and am pretty handy with it but have not dared to attempt the heads. It cost me a fortune to get a tech in the door because closest one is 4/5 hours away. Roughly $1,000 just to get them here...
Wow that is a great price on the Mimakis.
To be honest I am scared to death of the latex. I've heard so many different reviews on them that I don't know which way to lean.
That is one of the concerns I have. if it wasnt for the price point of the printer and a separate plotter (ideal setup) then I would def just stick to what I know and that is Roland. But the TrueVis is also newer technology. I have had an Oki desktop printer and that thing was great but...
Where did you buy it at Danno? I would be getting mine from Reece Supply, I havent had much dealing with them so I was just curious. With it being a fairly new printer I def want to know the customer service is going to be there.
OK, so let me start by stating my budget is $20,000. I am a small shop that does its fair share of printing but nothing like some of you large production company. I currently run a Roland SP 540v and although she is old she is still kicking getting the job done, just very slowly. So speed...
My prints seem to be banding a bit more and is a bit fuzzy around edges but when it really goes bad (approxamately a week after cleaning strip) is when the print really starts walking mid print.
So I have a SP-540v and it has been a (slow) work horse for many years but for some reason here lately it seems like I am having to take apart, remove encoder strip and clean it constantly. Usually takes 2 cleans to get it going right and it will work good and then roughly a week later, same...
