I have no idea what this rock hard, bulletproof stuff is on the back of mirrors but they should sell it by the gallon as sign paint because apparently it will last forever.
I really want to start dabbling in glass work. I know how to etch, I'm going to try glue chipping this weekend, and I may...
I've got a customer who needs a retractable banner stand but not the typical stand. Her problem is that sometimes she's at a trade show where she has to put the stand on a table, sometimes it will be behind the table and she wants to use the same banner stand for both and it has to be...
Not that I'm by any means excluding myself from it but what's up with the attitude around here lately? Seems like every post in the last couple of weeks has gone from discussion, to argument, to witch hunt. I bet if Adtechia made a post about the sky being blue he'd get 10 people jumping his...
Just curious but why do people insist on having the Equal Housing Opportunity or Equal Housing Lender logo put on signs? Don't all lenders and realtors have to follow those laws?
I had a thought this morning while passing two people who had been pulled over by State Troopers in the nice new speed trap I get to drive through every morning.
Anybody ever gone and changed the speed limit on a sign? Even better...has anyone ever gotten a ticket for doing, say, 55 mph in a...
Trying for something a little more subtle. The logo will be glossy, the rest will be matte. Debating on making the whole red panel at the bottom glossy as well.
Woo hoo....first post in the INSTALLATION EQUIPMENT AND TECHNIQUES SECTION!
I've got to do a set of signs for a small store that will hang from the ceiling and identify different sections. The original plan was to use 1/2" PVC but as the project has progressed and the sign sizes have gotten...
Annual Christmas parade is tomorrow night. the walls of our float were going to be made from coro, I didn't like the idea of using white so I decided to paint it red.
Now I've done this 100 times before with no problem using corogloss ink. Several months ago I bought about 50 gallons of ink...
I ordered a generator from Home Depot a couple of weeks ago. It was shipped from Home Depot's warehouse in California and apparently dropped off the planet. It disappeared from the UPS system after that. Home Depot was cool about it (this time) and shipped out a second one which is on it's...
Long time customer comes in with five a-frame signs he wants to have lettered. Two of them are metal frames with no faces, one is 1/2" coro (blank), and the other two are 1/2" MDO that's been stripped and repainted.
I go to clean the coro sign before lettering it and when I spray it I can see...
3 hours....round trip to meet realtor so he can point at a field and say "put sign right there by the tree.
4 hours....deliver and install signs
3 hours....drive back because realtor decides me wants sign in front of tree, discover sign is gone.
4 hours....return with replacement sign and...
This topic came up Sunday and let to some pretty interesting thoughts. Anybody care to share anything they're thankful for that they should probably feel guilty for?
I'm thankful my best friend stopped going out with his girlfriend before I had to convince her to dump him and go out with me...
After getting ZERO Christmas cards from suppliers last year and getting miffed about it I'm going to take a different approach with mine this year.
If I can get through drawing (tracing) and watercoloring the damn things I'm going to send out all of my shop cards and cookies the Monday after...
Here's what he had and here's where we are at this point. Honest opinions welcome...so are smart assed comments, criticism, and appraisals. I'm a big boy, I can take it.
Is there a place you can buy individual vehicle templates?
I've got a job to do to letter a 2010 Jeep Liberty 4 door and I won't have it here to measure until it gets here from the factory. I need to be able to design and print the graphics before it gets here so I can apply everything the day...
So....I'm gonna talk to the guy with the "unhappy lawnmower" artwork tomorrow morning. I'm trying to give him options. here's an idea I sketched out to try and sell the idea. I was trying to play with turning the mouse into a stylized ambulance.
Is it working or is the idea ridiculous? It's...
