  1. Best Windows PC 2023

If you want future-proof, don't buy an "all-in-one". Proprietary components and if a component fails you might be SOL. I'd start with an asus or msi motherboard and go from there.
  2. Need Help Looks like black ink is pooling to edges of small dots.

In Versaworks under Quality you can check the box that says ignore default settings, and change head speed to a lower number like 700 mm/s or something. You could also try selecting Overprint 2 times.
  3. Why the color variations?

If you print out a swatch chart in 10% increments it's very helpful in color matching.
  4. Backlit Vinyl Bubbling After 3 Years

I think because of the black color and too much liquid used when applying the vinyl. That narrow of a face, you probably should have applied the vinyl dry. Are the letters supposed to be white and yellowed that bad in 3 years? Did you use UV treated lexan?
  5. Does all 3M have markings on the backing paper?

3M does use unmarked liners on some. And yes it is silicone coated and you can feel it on the backside of the liner.
  6. VG 640 Ink waste!

The only way to have that much waste ink in a week, would be to do several powerful cleanings. Looks like something isn't right.
  7. Cured UV ink scratching off new signs - help!

Tons of extra labor to prepare a $25 sheet of coro instead of buying ACM, why?
  8. 20' Trailer wrap

4 days to wrap and 4 reprints seems excessive to me. I would have figured 40 hours labor. But don't do it all the time so who knows. Looks good though, great job!
  9. Window Perf HELP

Clean the window with denatured alcohol. Maybe they can live without the laminate on this one?
  10. VG 640 test print woes

All I can say is these heads are super finicky. I had cyan banding with perfect nozzle prints and new captops. Changed ink, multiple damper fills, manual and regular cleanings, adjusting print settings, nothing worked. Changing the head fixed it. Be glad yours isn't banding yet.
  11. Need Help Roland VG2's Banding Issues

Was your head changed by a certified tech? I see some problems on the nozzle check pattern, and looks like a tiny bit of debris on some of the heads. Clean off the debris, and print solid blocks of CMYKOG and post what that looks like.
  12. Need Help Roland VG2's Banding Issues

Post a clear photo of your heads and also the banding in the prints, and bi directional gap adjustment and nozzle check.
  13. Storing/Transporting Roland SP-300V

Once a month is OK in my opinion. I've went 3 months without a problem. Unscrew the blue metal piece from the back, stand it upright with the label facing forward. Screw it down in the screw hole at the very right edge of the print surface. You will see to the right of the cutting carriage where...

  16. Anyone still use an FC5100-75?

According to their website this is a plugin for Corel and AI for this machine: https://www.graphtecamericapro.com/graphtec/software/CM/CM2_Win_v200.zip
  17. VersaWorks Communication Fail

You can download VW6 here: https://downloadcenter.rolanddg.com/LEC-330#software
  18. VersaWorks Communication Fail

That's tricky. I guess your leaning towards it being a problem with VW. Maybe the firewall is blocking VW somehow. Is it possible to install an older copy of VW6 to test? Or any way to try operating the printer on a different PC?
  19. What would you use?

I would do the vinyl full 4x10 with laminate. I would not necessarily offer them a warranty thru your own business, but tell them the manufacture specs as far as how long it is rated for. Explain that it will last much longer than this painted sign with some type of paint or clearcoat that was...
