welcome to the wonderful world of wraps.
producing the wrap is the easy part, installing can be an art form.
i would suggest using a quality wrap vinyl. the cheaper ones comes with a load of headaches built in.
we design in illustrator
we use onyx as our print cut software
latex printers are a...
i was reading the other day where hp says the recommended smallest size on text would be 6pt to 4pt
thats pretty small.
i run rolls and rolls of material through my hp a week so the left over scrap is nothing i even worry about.
i haven't turned on my mutoh in a year. the quality of my hp is so...
they released the 110, 310, 360
then they made minor changes and added a 5 to the end
the 110 does not have in a media cross cut like the others
i have the 360 and have loved it ever since i got it
when i got into printing it wasn't even a field to me. I was a part time delivery boy for a commercial print shop.
but i started learning other things and one thing led to another. my company paid for me to get some schooling in design so it could be a selling point.
but from that lonely little...
i can safely cut 20' lengths of 30 inch vinyl and i try to keep my 54" printed material to 15' or less. if its reflective i try to keep it around 10'.
nothing is premasked. when i am cutting 30" i normally only use the first 2 pinch rollers. every now and then you have to babysit a job but they...
i just did a job where we used a designer supplied jpeg for for a customers logo. i am guessing they have used this logo for several things. being a jpeg we basically just placed it in a file and printed it. well come to find out the logo had a big typo.
the customer came to us saying we messed...
you can also check with your local unemployment office. find someone that wants to work and learn. find a younger kid that may of had it rough but needs a mentor.
one of my best installers was a hard luck case kid. took him under my wing and shown him a better way.
yes almost all printers have a left to right side color shift, thats why its important to do a flip every other tile.
if you print it straight, your seems will always be a shade off. if you flip that shade is more like the next panel
using a little piece of lam helps, scotch tape helps. i have a print file thats just crop marks for the cutter. i can sit and replace them all if it gets really bad.
but i been lucky and my latex printer with the marks darkness turned up usually hasnt been having a big problem reading the marks
i would think it would be fine. you will see a light up area of the text and nothing around it.
black reflective does look very cool on a black vehicle. let me find the pictures of one i did
i never use the barcodes. just check the first 3 digits of the number pull it up in postershop cut and hit go.
also i would make sure your reg marks for cutting are set to dark. it will find them easier
i am leaning towards gino's suggestion.
talk with him. be honest with the state of the company and how much money you have to work with. let him decide if he needs more money or use some of that money to hire another employee.
this is a great time to make a 5 or 10 year business plan. involve...
yes looking at this picture its a full wrap.
it will be faster and easier just to wrap what little white area there is
the cost of the material is less than the cost of the labor to only do a partial wrap
could you cut an access whole in the fascia build a support behind the metal pieces. then mount to that you can even cover the whole that was cut.
i was thinking a whole just big enough for 2 hands you can slip in a brace then turn it into place and attach
