My main computer that ran onyx recently died. It has a hardware error and i cannot get to the windows screen.

I have a gbc titan 1064 cold laminator, it is about 5 years old, and in the last 4-6 months it has begun walking heavily in one direction. the prints will walk from the left to the right Approx 2-3" in an 8ft run. Upon removing the ends of the machine i see there are some pressure adjustment...
As the hp hits a solid block of color that is different from the background it is slowly fading to full saturation, anyone seen this? Any ideas on fixing it? It happens at all pass levels.
I can't get the eye one to read the reflective. Every time I press the button to measure the test it tells me to recalibrate the eye one. I then recalibrate to a white tile, and try again with the same results, can anyone help me on this?
any tips for success? I heard soaking it with a soap and water and putting some plastic sheeting on it for an hour or two makes it easier, anyone done this with success?
I have a pretty sizable removal coming up and would like to be able to knock it out with some efficiency.
