Try wrappermapper.com or the wrap society, on Facebook. Lot of good installers in that area.
  3. Large colored panels - Wrap Film or Regular Vinyl

For the cost vs ease of install I'd do wrap and never look back. Personally I'd use Avery if you haven't used wrap very often, very low initial tac and easy to work with.
  4. First time using knifeless tape

Never pull the line outside of the tape. It is meant to cut the green tape in half if you are using any of the knifeless with the green tape. You shouldn't have to cut the line either to snap the line out. The best way to get it out is to fold it 180* on itself, hold it with one finger or...

I got mine form the NBM show in Indianapolis this past year. They were giving them away for free. Also, talk to your sales rep for what ever company you buy oracal from. They should be able to get them for you.

We use a sharp blade in a box cutter, it will cut the aluminum and plastic. It just takes a real passes. You do tend to get a nasty edge, I grind that down with a file
  9. Hey Fellers and Montroy.

Had a customer come in for a color change, spent hours looking at colors and gave him a quote. He emailed back something along the lines of "wow you guys make a killing on install, the material is only $400 from metro restyling, I looked it up when I left your shop" I looked it up and realized...
  10. Making any money working for someone?

I don't necessarily agree with this statement. Not every employee walks out at the end of the day and leaves it at wor. im strictly an employee of the small shop I work at. I often bring work home with me to help get the job done. I don't work my "hours" meaning, 8-4 m-f and leave. I often come...
  11. anyone own a uscutter plotter?

When I first started in the industry as a hobby just out of college all I could afford was one of the 24" us cutter pcut machines. It worked fine for what I used it for. Low volume not super detailed work. I just recently upgraded to a 24" graphtec only becaus my customers require more and more...

  14. Forms VS Electronic

We accept email approvals but have stopped taking approval over the phone. We actually request them to email us if they call in to approve. Just so we have something on paper. Once an email ok is sent, we print it out and staple it to the job ticket so we have it.
