I currently have a hand crank laminator (hoping to upgrade soon). I have to put a hard surface under my material before laminating. I can’t just put my print in and run it through bc it leaves a lot of bubbles. Is this just bc it is a cheap hand crank or am I doing something wrong?

Has anyone experienced problems with the vinyl curling upwards as soon as you laminate the vinyl?
This happens with both of my GFP Laminators.
We tried:

Loosened the pinch roller 1...

We have not had any issues to date with the...
Hello, can anyone suggest a decent media for covering sleds for laminating? Looking for the best silicone -like, non-stick surface. My old supplier changed manufacturers and the newer product is sub-standard (everything sticks and I have to resurface sleds way to often) I was using a white...
I need to find a Company that makes the smaller table top style Laminating Machines that I can become a dealer for them and resell the machines to our customers. One particular Laminating sheet I am looking for is about 7 X 12 inches and has two slots in it for License Plates temporary tags to...
Hi,
I have a few I-bond sheet (1 meter x 1 meter) to cover with Oraguard 372 (you know, anti-graffiti film) and I can´t use a laminator.

Hey all - we have a laminating table from CWT that's a pretty heft piece of equipment and are looking for materials regarding maintenance.
Not so much an issue as possibly the start of one - the rolling arm of this beast is gradually getting harder to push and pull as well as making more...
Just a quick question. A lot of people I have heard from say let the ink set and let the gasses release and wait 24hrs after print before coming to laminate? Is there a quicker way?
My printer is a Mimaki CJV30
Thanks
So we've had our 260 for over 2 years now. It is still a common problem for our prints to scratch very easily. I have pretty much maxxed out the Curing temp on this thing without it self combusting....what is everyone else running their cure heat at for everyday intermediate vinyl? Currently I...

I understand how this would work perfectly but am a little confused about the laminating. If all this is going on the inside of the clear UV protected lexan, then why do you need...
We use a Rollover table for the majority of our vinyl work. However, we have a separate ProLam 60" laminator that we use to laminate our digitally printed vinyl (and plex panels).
Has anyone used the Rollover table for laminating?
I'll be using BriteLine luster laminate.
I have a lot of work...
I’m looking for some help, please. Recently I printed on 3M IJ180CV3 adhesive vinyl and laminated the prints. The printing was done on a Mimaki CJV 150-160 with Mimaki Inks.
We allowed the printed vinyl to outgas for 48 hours before laminating. We then used a Seal 400 laminator to apply premium...
First post here... I've learned so much from this community already... thank you all.
We're trying to do our first vehicle wrap and so far it's been VERY expensive. :-) I've ruined at least (at least) 200 sf of #3M IJ180 and the 8518 Overlam... ouch.
After putting out the money for the new...
We have been testing out different laminates in different thickness. But our main issue seems to be the drying time the prints needs before we can laminate them. Often we need to print something and then have it sent out that same day or early the next morning. Is there a way to speed up the...
I'm looking at a laminator, obviously. It is to complement my Mutoh 54" Valuejet
I saw both the US Cutter Lightning Lam here:

Hi,
We are new to the business of face mounting images to acrylic. We are doing as small as 5x7-30x30 on 3/4" and as large as 24x40 to 30x90" on 1/4" optix. We are using a Diage 38" right now... totally have dust under control at this point but still seem to get bubbles. The bigger the print...
