There is an internal test on the Edge II, I would try a number of those. Access from it's front panel, or read the manual. If no manual go to www.gspinc.com
What type of OS, sounds like the WarpNine driver is not installed. If the system is a 64 bit OS it will not install and you need to move to the USB to Parallel solution. What version of Omega?
Run GQMgr and bring up it's about dialog it will give you the WarpNine driver version if it is...
You are correct. What really happens is that within the spool file there are X moves where the head is lifted and we position down the vinyl. When you enter you adjustment we change the position within the spool file, that is it. When I was making labels for my mother's jam and jellys I did not...
The print head is 300 DPI so that makes a pixel (dot) .003" ( really .0033333333 as in 1/300). The print head represents the Y axis, now for the X axis we move the motor .003" per step. For 300x600 we play the game of moving the X axis a 1/2 step or .0015" (really .00166666") and the Y axis...
Would you ever paint / stain ceder? I want to put up a biz sign for my wife's law biz outside our house. I want something to last a long time. Raw ceder really would not go with the look of the house (English Tudor) in a very rural area, at least that is what I think.
There is a way to "reset" the Edge to factory settings. You'll need to read the manual on that. It could be that the thermister (heat) is high or that the head pressure is incorrect. I think it all has to do with holding the correct buttons at start up.
In our early testing of this setup we have seen problems (Data Error 3) in attempting to output to either an Edge I or Edge II. Omega itself operates fine and the only problem is outputting.
Not sure when we will address this so heed the warning at this time.
There are times when it works...
As Fred has stated in another thread on the same subject.
"Your problem could be as simple as cleaning and lubing to a bad blade holder to a complete tool head module. "
Barry, are you still running that router?
Most polling is in the late afternoon and you working stiffs are doing the work most Americas do not want to do - WORK - it's a gimme world today, gimme this, gimme that...
Are you the "owner" of the folder that does not work. In other words are you the same user (login) that created to not working folder / files? This sounds like a permission / ownership issue.
For the new cable to work you need Omega 4.0 or better. Jase in your case because you have the old and new cable you should be able use both with no problems because the cables do NOT have the same VID/PID.
Note: I would recommend that all Gerber users update to Omega 5.0
Simonst, we no longer...
