Can anyone suggest steps to resolve this issue of Horizontal banding. I think it is due to static electricty as it ahppens across all media and various profiles used. I am trying to humidify my shop area better, I put my printer on some rubber matts. Anything Else?
Thank You!!
Don't ask what other people think if you can't take the heat. There are some very talented people on this site that absolutely know what they are doing. From the look of your finished sign, you don't know sh*t. It looks like you figured out how to do a couple of photo shop effects and said...
Welcome from Eastern Iowa,
Lived in Omaha for 10 yrs. Traveled to Scottsbluff, always thought it was the prettiest place in the middle of absolute nowhere.
How high up in the air? How are you planning on attaching this to the concrete wall? Have you applied for the permit? Do you know what the permitting process is? Are you a licensed installer within the town or metro area that this will be installed? What is your hourly labor rate?

Ummmmmmmmm,..... How about 1-25 Dollars a sq/ft? Sorry, but I can't help but give a wise *** answer to such a begging question. OK the real answer is..... We have no idea what YOU should be charging for YOUR work. What are YOUR costs of doing business in YOUR marketplace. Sorry.
Hi Folks,
Client restored a '48 Chevrolet Police Car. Would like door copy painted as on original. Since i'm not that great at it was going to cut paint mask and had paint in the letters. Font style proving to be difficult to ID. I do have the original pounce patterns. Any ideas? BTW...
MacTAc makes a frosted glass vinyl with their B-Free adhesive. I have used a roll of it. Love it!!!!!!! Goes down like butter and better yet, goes down dry. Just a thought.

Just Curious, How did you price the job to get the job if you did not know what to use as the substrate for the faces? Also are you planning on building this cabinet yourself or are you jobbing it out to a wholesale sign co?
Hey Gino, .040 Aluminum for the substrates. 3/4" steel angle real estate frame. I mean for chrissake it takes at lesat 10 minutes to bolt the dam faces into the frame.

Thanks Everyone,
I have really been trying to move away from this end of the biz. Way to cut-throat. In this economy nothing is coming easy to anyone right now. We have finally hired a very competant employee and I am always worried about keeping him busy. it seems my job has shifted from...
I just lost a bid for (2) double sided, full color, 18x24 sign with steel H frame and double sided 6x24 bottom rider to some one charging $68 each. WTF is going on in this line of business that ***king idiots do that amount of work, with that expense for $68. I started my biz 6 years ago and I...
I don't think the database works that way. Not something you can slam into place and have it add to any new estimate database. You need to do a backup the DB from the old machine and Restore the DB to the new machine after reinstalling the app. Any estimates you have written on the new...
Hi Folks,
I believe this is caused by static electricity. I read a support article on the Roland DGA site a few days ago. If my memory serves me well.

Big River Sign Co.
Hi Folks,
I am designing a race traierl wrap for a 57' trailer. I have designed shorter trailers and installed a bunch of 53' trailers but have never designed on such a large scale. Does any one have any tips on how to set the file up? What scale shuld I use? What file type? Do I need to do it...
The permits are generaly "pulled" by the licensed installer. Or, if the munisipalty does not require a licensed installer then the permit is the responsiliblity of the owner of the sign. Some smaller towns do not have a permiting process either. Runs that gamut in my experience. We generaly...
