haven't had our laser long so new to using it. we have been cutting mostly plywood for our steel rule dies but we also cut acrylic. i am starting to notice some of the acrylic you can purchase has this warning in the spec sheet- THE PRODUCT IS A COMBUSTIBLE THERMOPLASTIC RESIN, BURNS...
not familiar with that material but any polyester we have printed on was coated to accept solvent ink (so if it's not made for solvent printers it won't work, won't dry )
i always used the clear or matte PET settings and they work ok. another thing you can try is turning up the heaters...
i have got them from testrite visual in NJ
testrite.com
no issues. i really don't do much if any of these but from what i have heard you pretty much get what you pay for on these stands.
not familiar with that machine or ink but maybe it's curing issue. we have had issues with uv silk screened inks on polycarb when the ink wasn't cured good enough it would delaminate from the polycarb . usually this happens on multi color jobs and one of the layers of ink was not cured good enough.
luckily we produce a lot of saw dust cutting wood for our die boards so i use that. let the ink dry a couple of days and toss it in the dumpster.
maybe you can find a shop that you can get some free saw dust to use?

also it's outside Gino
customer wants a quote to remove some old letters that are glued to glass and install new letters. (i have not seen it yet just going by customer and pics)
what do you think is the best way to remove the letters with out damaging the glass?
what are the chances i can clean off the old glue...

try American traffic safety we have used some of their materials with good results and decent pricing
other than that we use nikkalite in our roland printers and haven't had any problems but we usually just use the 24" rolls
you might need to try a polyester/mylar or even a .005 alum with out adhesive and add a 3M adhesive (check with 3M for temp ratings to get the best adhesive for the job)
maybe 468MP but not positive
not sure what causes this and it doesn't happen all the time but i have had a few jobs printing aluminum composite 3mm where it will start to print and then at some point it will get stuck and the feed rollers will start skipping and the material doesn't move so the print head just does a...
we have the LEJ-640 so we can print rolls and rigid materials. have had the machine for a few years. it's a work horse. we run it pretty much everyday. in 4 years we have replaced 2 heads (that one is on use from bad head strikes) the white is pretty good. sometimes we do have to do a double...
