Could just be the USB cord has failed- or maybe has been bumped and come loose. It happens. I'd suggest making sure it's connected firmly. If it is, try a new cord.

Sounds like your plotter may be getting a macro from somewhere that's running the test. I'd check the setup parameters in whatever program you're using to plot from and see if it's sending one, then just turn it off.

I'm having a hard time separating my dislike of their food from the logo. The updated one is definitely more legible, but... yawn. As I believe someone else mentioned, it has a very "cookie cutter" feel.
