  1. Poll: Are you printing CMYK, or RGB files from Versaworks?

Hmm...I export CMYK from Corel and bring them into Versaworks to print. Why one would even work in an RGB file makes no sense to me much less printing from one. RGB shouldn't really be a part of the process at all for printing...except to tell the customer...NO I can't print that NEON BLUE like...
  2. Need your opinion - Magnum magnetic material

Just had a customer bring in the 2 door mags that didn't blow away to prove that they weren't working. Sure enough...I cleaned them, etc...tested them on my doors... DEAD SPOTS! several. I've not had this happen with Magnum in the past and honestly...didn't believe him until I saw for myself...
  3. Up For Grabs!

That's an exact copy and paste they did in my form request form.
  4. Up For Grabs!

Someone filled out a quote request form online and I'm offering it up to any of ya'll who want it. "MY WIFE HAS A 2006 HARLEY DAVIDSON 883L SPORTSTER, I WONDERED IF IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO WRAP THE TANK-TWO FENDERS AND TWO SIDE COVERS IN A MATTE BLACK.AND I WOULD LIKE A STICKER MADE FROM A...
  5. This Is Why!

Got a message back from Oracal: This part of it I find hard to believe: "This is the first issue we’ve heard of this happening, so we immediately jumped on trying to get this material back into our facility for further testing." "We apologize for this inconvenience, and please believe me that...
  6. Nor Cal Wrap Training

    Give Pro Wraps a ring
  7. L26500 ink cost analysis

I'd like that info as well if you don't mind.
  8. College is replacing the sexist Men Working signs with Crew Working

CAUTION: A man working while 7 others are standing around talking and smoking.
  9. Sprinter...yikes!

I'm still stuck on how gouging out your eyeballs would help with the audio annoyances on the phone you speak of. Just sayin'
  10. What would you do?

A newbie mistake. We've all made them in the beginning I'm sure.
  11. Nissan Vans

I happen to like the way they look. The pickup truck front end give them a little different look and I think they are cooler looking than the sprinter and not as boring as the same 'ol cargo vans. As long as you try (if customer will let you) to avoid straight lines, they work well.
  12. This Is Why!

So you are saying they admitted to having issues recently. I am showing evidence that I had issues with it just a few days ago. Others here say they too had the exact problem. I think it stands to reason that this could be either a) part of that same "bad batch" or b) part of a new "bad batch"...
  13. This Is Why!

Who did you get that vinyl from when it happened? Because the Fellers rep is claiming that it's never happened to them before. And I don't get a refund until after they do testing on the roll I sent back.
  14. This Is Why!

That's exactly what happened to me. It wasn't in areas I squeegee'd. It was the front and back of the horizontal panel we were doing a partial. I had just set it there with my hand on the brake light and above it. When I pulled it up to make it taught...that was the result. All the pieces we...
  15. This Is Why!

Well 3751 RA is a newer product than 3951. The difference being it boasts a "low initial tack" which is why I gave it a try. I'd say they "messed up" how the "tack" works for sure.
  16. This Is Why!

Orajet is the only vinyl that's done it to me before. I had to try the 3751RA with all these guys raving about it. Maybe it's just a fluke. I'm definitely not using the rest of the roll. Don't even wanna imagine removal. So I have to use 3M or Avery because I still have to produce wraps...
  17. Portable Heaters

They sell them at Tractor supply, Lowe's etc. They are the ones you see people parking thier cars under in thier yards and stuff.
  18. Need to outgas?????

Lam too soon = silvering (microscopic bubbles between vinyl and lam) and more aggressive adhesive. That's what I've been told, and it matches exactly what I've experienced. So can I speak for everyone...no. Ask yourself this, what does it benefit a manufacturer to require it to outgas if it...
  19. This Is Why!

Yeah I tried Arlon once as well. That didn't happen to me..but it was way too grabby for me to wanna deal with. I just gotta stick with Avery & 3M I guess.
  20. Portable Heaters

When I had my first shop, it was in a HUGE warehouse. I bought a large easy up type tent and a large tarp to make a mini tent for cars in the warehouse and ran a cyclone heater into it. Got warm real quick. Just don't aim it at the area you're working in...to much breeze.
