  2. Need Font name

because of the look of it, I'd say to look at Nordic looking fonts. They have a Futhark style to them. Maybe they just added that in, but it's worth a shot to search it that way.

If cast isn't sticking, there's something wrong with the window. Had this happen last year. We used reflective vinyl on windows and within a month the client was back. The lettering was peeling right off. We stripped, cleaned with alcohol, hit with Rapid Prep and alcohol again and haven't...
  6. Where can I learn about the different use cases for substrates?

I can't tell you of any great resources out there, but I can tell you how I learned. I came into a sign shop doing weeding and app. I asked questions about materials and listened to the responses. When we got a new material in, I asked for the spec sheet so I could read up on it. Once I...

  18. Oralite 5600 Reflective Vinyl - Has anybody ever tried wet applying?

Pretty sure that if you wet apply you've blown any warranty out the window from the manufacturer. Reflective is not an easy material to install and takes a trial and error to get the swing of it. I've been making signs for 18 years and even i ask for help with reflective occasionally. Some...

  20. How do you measure the exact size of a sign that is high up in the air?

For estimates, I'm usually able to use something in Google street view to give me a reference to figure out the size. I'm very clear to the client that my size is an estimation and is subject to change once we go out and take exact measurements. We have a bucket truck, so once things move to a...
