  1. Sp-540v color problem

Yes, I would say it got some sort of damage, most likely a head strike, or it could have happened during transport to your shop if you didn't put the piece in to protect the heads while transporting.
  2. Sp-540v color problem

Is that the current head or the one you replaced?
  3. Need Help Roland SP-300i cyan not printing

Do you have a picture. Also, when you did the head change, did you input the new serial, along with do all the head adjustments?
  4. good morning

    :welcome: from NB :Canada 2:
  5. Problem Epson DX4 (Roland Sp300)

Do you have the service manual that tells you how to do the change? As it's very unlikely to find a tech now that will service it.
  6. xr-640, dripping ink while printing

Did you do a head cleaning and try again. Also, make sure the media is laying flat, as from the image you attached, looks like smear mark from the head rubbing the media.
  7. Problem Epson DX4 (Roland Sp300)

Not really, you'll need to get a new one. As these are older machines, the heads are quite a bit cheaper, only about $500 USD, depending where you buy them from. I'd recommend Sign-in-china, have bought a bunch from them and they are fairly decent.
  8. Problem Epson DX4 (Roland Sp300)

Are you saying if you plug the cables that are currently in the unhealthy head into the healthy head it prints fine on the healthy head, but both sets of cables don't print anything on the unhealthy head? If so, you have your answer, the head is gone.
  9. Problem Epson DX4 (Roland Sp300)

If your sure the fuses aren't blown (which is usually the case), then maybe the print carriage board could be gone.
  10. Roland VS540 and perforated window decals

That's good. Make sure they ship it properly and put the shipping piece in to protect the head during transport, otherwise it may have printed nice at there shop, but you could have a mess when it gets to you, I'd also recommend draining the lines, that way no leaks happen. Once you get it to...
  11. Roland VS540 and perforated window decals

You got a pretty good deal, just make sure the head is in good shape, once you have it shop, that would be one of the first things to check. The only downside of those ones are the heads are a pain if you need to replace, even worse if you only need to change the damper, as they fry easily if...
  12. Roland VS540 and perforated window decals

I don't laminate, as we use don't make signs, so our process is a little different than most, so I couldn't help you with laminating questions, but I'm sure someone on this forum can.
  13. Roland VS540 and perforated window decals

No worries, just wanted to confirm, as the VS and SG are 2 totally different machines. The VS-540, in my personal opinion isn't the greatest model (We had one, and it was broken more than operating), but not the worst either. It would do what you want and have the cutting ability as well, so...
  14. Roland VS540 and perforated window decals

I'm not familiar with that model, could it be the VS-540 or SG-540?
  15. SP-300V Wiper Motor Replacement/Grinding Sound

Yeah, I would recommend putting that scrapper back in if you start using the printer more. You can dampen the new wipers after installing, and also bending the shiny metal part in the front that holds the wiper belt, but not to tight.
  16. SP540 Wiper scraper question

I had that issue too at first, so what I did was wet the wipers with a little solvent rubbed on with a swab and it helped. You can also bend out that shiny metal piece in front that holds the belt to give it a little more tension (saw it in a Youtube video).
  17. SP540 Wiper scraper question

Did you change the wipers to the softer ones? As if you still have the stiffer ones in, that would be your problem. I had the same issue with ones I bought from DigiPrint Supplies. OEM or the ones Sign-in-china sells are softer and work well.
  18. SP-300V Wiper Motor Replacement/Grinding Sound

Yes, the wipers from DigiPrint are harder for some reason, ran into the same issue recently, went back to the others that are a little softer and problem went away instantly.
  19. Clicking sound on vp540

Maybe take a video of it, so we can see exactly what might be causing it. Have you watched it do it and by chance is going too far over, maybe hitting into the end of the rail?
  20. Service on Roland SP-540V in Florida

That is the big question, I very much doubt you'll find a Roland certified technician that will service it, as it is an obsolete machine in their minds. Luckily for you, they are very easy to maintain and service by oneself. I have 2x SP-300V's that I've kept running for years myself. Let us...
