Can someone help me identify this font?? Some sort of goth font... THANK YOU!!!
  2. GX24 Not cutting all the way around.

    ...perfectly through the paper? lol
  3. Why, why can't Roland add sequential cut ot VersaWorks?

Well in all fairness it is a free piece of software...I'm not complaining. I started a thread months ago about features you'd like to see in versa works, hoping roland would see it, but no response at all. They're on this forum I thought? here ya go...
  4. Need a color profile

Try GCVP profile...I hate that one but it's the only thing that worked on our sp300 (which really doesn't mean anything in your case). I'd also try what the above person mentioned...that profile is pretty ink heavy and slow printing, it'll print about any media including banner.
  5. Changing Encoder Strip On SP540V

PS -- has anyone actually used a generic one before? Curious if they actually work.
  6. Changing Encoder Strip On SP540V

Extremely easy. Put the machine in cleaning mode and do "replace wiper" then the head will go limp. Move it in the middle, there's ONE screw on the right that pinches the clear encoder strip into place and a spring on the other end. Easy...just make sure you don't kink it and that you thread it...
  7. Why, why can't Roland add sequential cut ot VersaWorks?

Roland doesn't care about your suggestions to make Versaworks better...unfortunately. I'm still waiting to see the option where I can control spacing between copies horizontally and vertically -- separately.
  8. GX24 Not cutting all the way around.

That seems like a LOT of pressure. We cut closer to 80g on same vinyl. I'd try another blade -- you may have gotten a bad one. OR if it's a used or old plotter, try replacing the blade holder. The blade holders get bored out over time and the blades tend to wiggle in the holder.
  9. Printable translucent

Same here, 3651 Clear with 210 Lam. But we print using uni-directional with 1 overprint. No need to wait between passes etc. Just make sure the post heater is nice and warm so it dries before you start rolling it up. We wait a full day before laminating cuz there's super heavy ink.
  10. Gymnasium floor

We use 3651 with oraguard laminate. BUT, if it's a lacquered wood floor, the adhesive on 3651 may be too aggressive and take the laquer off on removal.
  11. What Machine/Process is this???

So then technically it's a label printer, but they're using them for stickers?
  12. What Machine/Process is this???

.....does anyone on these forums have a machine like this?
  13. What Machine/Process is this???

they even put a video up of what looked like about 100+ sheets of stickers stacked where they pop all 100 stickers out of the sheet in one easy press.
  14. What Machine/Process is this???

We like to follow other sticker/vinyl shops and pick up on new techniques, processes, equipment, etc. and recently we started following @stickerapp on instagram. They post these videos of their production process every once in a while and a lot of them show sticker sheets rolling through this...
  15. Font ID Help

    damn you are good!
  16. Font ID Help

Hey guys...was hoping someone might be able to identify this font for me.... THANK YOU!~
  17. Gray prints grainy

but he was complaining about grainy greys not banded, so I'd assume his calibrations are fine
  18. Gray prints grainy

Grey will always print grainy on digital printers since you're relying on white vinyl and black dots to mix in your head to create grey. Only thing to get it SLIGHTLY less grainy is to set those jobs to unidirectional but the print speed is significantly lower. Good luck.
  19. Printer Waking up for Cleaning and Thinks No Ink....

Always OEM. i've also noticed when one catridge DOES run out, it takes three or four tries of inserting the new cartridge in before it recognizes a new cartridge in there
  20. Printer Waking up for Cleaning and Thinks No Ink....

Hey guys! This problem keeps happening lately -- basically our sp300v wakes up to do a cleaning in the middle of the night and thinks it has no ink in any of the four cartridges so the LCD screen flashes 1_2_3_4_ and the printer continues to beep as if it's out of ink. It won't shut off until...
