I couldn't stand the graphtec I had either and actually returned it. I am using the S class T series, first gen, and love it!! I don't think it is that loud. The most accurate cutter I have used.

The vendor I bought my S70 from sent me a short video of it. S60600. Not much out on the specs yet. I guess it's not being released until next year sometime. I guess there are going to be 2 other models in that line as well.

I don't have a mimaki, I have an Epson. It has kept it going when there have been power surges that caused everything not on battery backups to go out. It hasn't gone out for more than a couple of minutes, so not sure how long it'll last. But I definitely think it was worth the money.

Did you ever get this figured out?

I have had good luck outdoors with MaxMetal. You can always get the HD version too.
