I would add and armature so it doesn't pop off and a plate that attaches under the body. I would also fiberglass the outside.
You might suggest they spring for 2 or more at a slightly reduced price. May even make sense to build a mold off the original so future ones are easier to make...
Been there done that. Thought I was protecting the back for future use, NOT. The UV degrades that thin plastic. In the end we just used a new blank. It seemed cheaper than time it would take to remove it.
3m has one. It is for channel letters. The letters appear black during the day and white at night. Fellers carries it, but not sure which section. Try by the translucents.
Just buy the letters from Gemini. The have several mounting options, solid color or painted plex reasonable pricing. Their paint is automotive grade and gauranteed for life...
