That looks fantastic, Craig.
I was so pleased to meet you last week in Kewanee.
I'm going to try and catch it in Pittsburgh in September and I love your idea of making a panel to bring with me.
Have fun!

Materials x3 as a baseline price and you better pray that you don't peel off their paint with the transfer tape.
You'll probably need a Gorilla ladder for the stairs, so if you don't have one I'd add in the cost of that as well.

First one. Lose the background entirely. Make the fish then the logo, large, like the fish is looking into it.
I don't like how the colors in the background do not "go" with the colors in the fish.

Oops just saw RJ's...which is pretty nice.
PS
I'm not much of a fisherman...but...
I said that because of something my friend Arthur Vanson once told me.
To paraphrase (I wish you could hear his delightful accent, something like the Geico Gecko)
"You can create something, and it's a satisfying feeling, until you see what some people do with your alphabet".
I don't know how to solve it.
But this happened to me once when I opened up a Corel 9 or 12 file (can't remember which) off a CD I made when I upgraded to X5.
All my whites were suddenly an icky shade of peach.
It seemed like it crossed over into everything I designed for awhile, I was...
I much prefer Pat's font choice...but I read both as BRUTACE.
Maybe try something with caps and lower case?
Pat's looks like a logo, yours just looks like typed text.
(this is not an attack, just a general statement, but I am sooo over seeing periods used as dashes in a phone number)...
I like it.
I like that you added the alts also.
Agreed about where do we buy it.
(and just wait until you see your baby squished and stretched)

I like it a lot but would choose a different color lettering for the back of the trailer, it has almost no contrast.
Also if using version #1 I would node edit to connect the e and r in Sutters.

Oracal 651 is just fine.
Avery sucks, would not take it if given a free lifetime supply.
(lots of us got screwed by a bad batch that Avery kept distributing anyway)
Talk about shrinkage....
Corel.
Make sure you get a version that works with XP.
I use X5. I started with Composer (GA6.2 back in '98)
I could do a lot of things with it, but it doesn't hold a candle to Corel.
I use a Graphtek because my 4E finally died.

...um...I'm certainly not offended by scantily clad women.
Really all you need to do is lower the shorts a bit. I'm not keen on either of the shoes in #1 or #2.
I agree, both new layouts are better than the first attempt.
Girl 2 looks like GiGi.
I liked the first girl better as she looked more traditional. Her pose is more demure, as well.
I like the way the logo turned out because the first one seemed too non-Joe Diaz.
(plain, not eye-catching)

One recent client (I will never show their signs to anyone) came carrying a print-out from eSigns, for whom I used to do layouts (and was happy for the work)
They had their own little eSigns version of one of my ideas squished and stretched and looking like crap.
