  1. Customer HAS TO stop in....

I keep getting calls from people wanting to buy stuff from me, such as step stakes, blank coroplast etc. I am so sick of dealing with these people that I feel like hurting someone. It's the same old "We really want you to do our (banner, logo, truck lettering, you name it)" Then once you...
  2. How often does this happen to you..............??

Every year around Christmas time, I acquire one of those little freebie journal type day planners. I never write in anything but it. Measurements, phone numbers, you name it. It stays right by my phone on the counter unless it's in my truck with me when I go onsite. And those are the only two...
  3. Happy birthday jillbeans

Thank you. I have officially entered Area 51. Had a nice quiet day ending with a Dairy Queen cake. Love....Jill

  5. Kewanee Walldog Meet.

It was great to finally meet you. Sorry that I was too busy to talk much! I was also thrilled to finally meet Craig S and Sam Staffan. Craig and I discovered a new birthday buddy too, Andy Goretsky (sp) That makes 4 Letterheads/Walldogs with a birthday today. Had so much fun that now it's...
  6. Getti'n Paid!!!

Good thinking. I can't count the number of times I've heard this excuse! I would almost get one of those new-fangled phones just for this purpose. Love....Jill
  7. Newest member of our sign family

She's so cute! Bet she has that great New Baby smell too. Nothing like it. Congratulations! Love.....Jill
  8. Round 3

The mix of upper and lower case in the words is making me stabby. If you are going to put a nipple in the G at least use a very round looking G not a pinchy one. I'm all for simple but the font choices in this one are mediocre and the priority of words is just not working for me. Love....Jill
  9. Customer specifying color, and I'm not sure it will work. Paint help

Can you prime the letters before mounting with Krylon Fusion spray paint? I did that once when forced to use PVC pipes as a mounting system. Love....Jill
  10. Has anyone seen a font like this or can anyone make me a font like this?

Tons of free stencil fonts here: http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=114 Love....Jill
  11. Anyone using Wrights of Lymm?

I just ordered some supplies from here: http://www.coastairbrush.com/categories.asp?cat=270 and was really pleased with them.
  12. Round 2

I don't care for the icon. It seems unimaginitive. The font being all the same weight makes nothing really stand out, even when making one of the words red. I would go back to the drawing board, emphasizing the word SIGN. Try using a mix of fonts. Love....Jill
  13. Anyone using Wrights of Lymm?

I don't do a lot of leafing, but I absolutely love their brushes. I've bought stuff from them when in the UK and they are good to deal with. Shipping might be prohibitive. Love....Jill
  14. Where to get orange banner on the roll or 8 -- 6foot x 2foot banners blanks?

I can get orange banners hemmed, grommeted and even enamel receptive from USBannerCorp via N Glantz. Good stuff. Love....Jill
  15. Not so new kid on the block!

Welcome from PA, I still paint signs too. Love....Jill
  16. Logo Designers Needed

I'm not a designer, I am a sign painter. I enjoy dabbling with Corel. Actually I love it. As to the posted website, my thoughts ran exactly like RJs. The music, the wobble and the angle just did not cut it for me.
  17. Logo for my new business

About the only thing it has going for it is the yellow and blue, always a good color combo, as Joe stated. The rest is simply hideous. The spelling and grammatical errors, made by someone who is trying to sell lettering to the public, are unforgivable. Squished cramped text, nasty fonts...
  18. #2

I would charge A LOT to put grommets into some pre-printed crappy banners that I did not produce. That really burns my shorts.
  19. A couple of new signs to share

I'm enjoying seeing your progression as well. The house illustration is wonderful. Love....Jill
  20. #2

I only charge for them if a customer requires extra. Usually about $10 on a regular banner job. Love....Jill
