  1. Sign Painters

I'm excited that it's coming to Pittsburgh in September. It will be showing at the same theater that I won movie tickets to in a newspaper coloring contest when I was 12. Love....Jill
  2. Flat "Metro" Design

I am so glad to see clean and simple coming into vogue and I hope it stays that way. Love....Jill
  3. It just wont gel together

Must you use that font? If you have to, can you unsquish it? I'd stack it on the sides like you did on the back. But I would abandon that font altogether if possible. All-caps can be hard to read. Try Allied in a script on to then WHEEL (all caps) on top of refinishing. Make the giant...
  4. More painted signs.

and still more. The museum one was a repaint of a sign I had originally made in 1998. I did a little freehand pictorial on the back. The car was painted two hours before yesterday's Cruise-a-Palooza in Butler. That was totally freehand too and lots of fun.
  5. please help find fonts

Top one looks like a modified Atkinson: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/fontry/fha-nicholson-french/ But not quite. Love....Jill
  6. To distress / artificially age or not ???

Is this the one you went into a 13 hour sign coma on? I envy you.
  7. Sign for Massage Therapist, critique please

I think it will work out fine.
  8. To distress / artificially age or not ???

I'd leave it be. But if you do age it, look at some of Mark Fair's work, he ages things really well. Also David Kynaston from the UK. Love....Jill
  9. Would you panel this?

However you install it (I am no one to give install advice, I would have to panel it as I am 61 inches tall haha) make sure you leave about a half-inch border all the way around it. Don't run it right to the edges of the glass. You don't want to pay to replace that large of a window if...
  10. Copper vinyl?

They do make real copper leaf. It's not that hard to learn to gild, especially using a paint mask for the size. You would need to clear-coat to avoid a patina. I've even had metallic copper paint turn green over time. A good water-based copper paint is Ronan's Aqua leaf, again, using a paint...

  13. New from Signfonts. New Release Special. Argentina and Easy Street

I particularly love Easy Street. Using Argentina this week on a painted garage sign, kinda bikery-looking. I love your fonts, Steve. :loveya: Love....Jill
  14. Logo Designers Needed

I'm good at basic bread and butter snappy clean stuff if you wanna PM me. I'm pretty fast, too. :thankyou: Love....Jill ...but I do not have a Merchant Membership so I feel kind of smarmy saying I do design work.
  15. Can't belive they left the sign like this

Hahahha I thought Whores, or maybe Shores. :Big Laugh Love....Jill
  16. Hurry up! Hurry up and wait.

I have been busy for a year straight (after a two-year dead time and I mean DEAD) The last couple weeks have been just plain insane (which is great) Unfortunately it seems when I am busy it seems to send out some sort of signal that only @ssholes and weirdos can see. I've been actually...
  17. 3 Fonts to ID please.

Century Gothic worked real well for the bottom.
  18. Fit text to path in Corel X5

Ohhh! Red dot you say? I saw it but did not know what it did. I'll stop acting like I'm on the red dot and try to copy you. :thankyou:  AHA! Now I see it! mirror/mirror/red triangle then fondle individually. :thankyou::signs101:
  19. Fit text to path in Corel X5

It won't let me drop it down, so I broke the little b@stard a part and placed it by hand. Which is kind of redundant when considering we get software so we don't have to do things by hand. :banghead: Corel 12 had two toolbar icons (in addition to the missing flippy A one) You could choose...
