Installing the head went very easy and entering the correct numbers for head number 2 was easy.
I used the Roland Manuel and followed it page by page and the only real problem was after I installed the ribbon cables onto the old head and the new head I did not realize that the top part...
I installed a new DX-4 solvent head and the only problem I had was when realized that one of the ribbon cables was not pushed all the way in so my first print did not show anything for the number two head when I did a test print.
My question could that have blown a fuse?
Right now it appears...

Thank you for your great advice.
The reason I asked the question is because I am going to change my first head within the next day or so and while I have the right torque head tools to remove and replace the small screws in the correct order to tighten each one I do not have that few...
Thanks to everyone who offered their opinions.
I ordered a New DX-4 solvent print head and the hardest part was paying for the print head with my credit card.

The version of Versaworks I am using is 5.3 not 5.2 if that makes any difference and I am using Versaworks as the administrator.
Is there another version I should be using that would be more compatible with windows 7 64 bit?
Thank you for your help. Jim
I am using Versaworks 5.2 software with Windows 7 64 bit and when I switch to Versaworks it is 32 bit and hard to read.
My question is there a 64 bit version of Versaworks I can use with windows 7 to be compatible?
Thanks Wayne the prices almost seemed to good to me on the DX-4 solvent print head. They are a lot lower then many other vendors for the same print head.
Jim
I need to replace a DX-4 head in a Roland Printer and Digiprint has the DX-4 solvent head for $ 544.32
Would like to hear from other who have purchased DX-4 heads from them.
Thanks Jim

Arial Bold is gone along with a few other fonts. Not sure if updates are causing this or something else.
Jim
The hardest part was getting the settings for Versaworks correct.
My version of windows 7 is 64 bit and the Versaworks is only 32 bit so I will need to update the version I have but other then that the printer is printing just fine and I no longer have any need for windows XP and ColorRip...
