  1. Dark Brown or Bronze Sintra Type mateial

:thumb: yup, what Gino said. thin pvc will twist and warp in no time if it's a dark color out in the sunlight,
  2. Dark Brown or Bronze Sintra Type mateial

Yep, or paint it. And don't use outside once done. It'll potato chip in a week or less.
  3. Recent dimensional sign.

Nice job. Love the wood background. Might have bolded up the copy a little on the bottom, though.. Grill kinda gets lost.
  4. Beveling effect on 1/2" black acrylic

    ^ this. That's heat induced.
  5. Reflective Safety Stripes - Where can I get these?

Individual strips. I keep the common stuff - red, white, blue and yellow in stock already cut to size in rolls.
  6. Roland Vs. Summa

20 years with my T750 as well, and it's just now starting to show some minor issues. Solid workhorse, can't go wrong.
  7. End of the industry

I remember those. The "Michaelangelo" or something. Airbrushes mounted on a CNC gantry that you could stand upright to paint the sides of vans (never did work right due to angles). This is just another one of those contraptions. Cool, but niche.
  8. What product, best protects vinyl against UV rays and other damages???

Huh? Are you talking printed graphics or cut vinyl lettering? Printed graphics get a quality overlaminate with UV inhibitors already in it. Cut vinyl letters get nothing but the occasional coat of wax when the vehicle is washed and maintained. Don't overthink this, everything has a life span.
  9. wipers on back windows

I just tell the client they can't use the wiper and don't worry about placement. Wiper sweeps vary to manufacturer, but most will go top to bottom (or vice versa) so you have no real place to put a graphic if the client still wants to retain use of the wiper.
  10. lanham act

Unless said large company has actually copywritten the word "cupcake" as an "M" logo, I'd tell them to pound sand. Pretty difficult to enforce a word as a logo, but it's been done before with large enough pockets.
  11. Fix for Summa- Not completing First Cut.

That's about what I'm finding. I don't mind that, it doesn't look like a difficult install. The weird thing that almost makes me think it's a software issue (or firmware) is that, at least on mine, it only 'skips' when in drag knife mode. Switch to tangential and everything cuts perfectly. Might...
  12. Fix for Summa- Not completing First Cut.

Did that. Hasn't solved all of the problems. My plotter is pushing 18 years old, so I think it's just wearing out.. finally. Still, a replacement head is far cheaper than a new machine, I just don't know if the new heads are retrofittable to the old plotters.
  13. Fix for Summa- Not completing First Cut.

Yep, you're absolutely right Frank. I didn't catch that when I was looking at the motor/servo. I'm going to try a complex cut over the weekend.. it seemed to cure the issue with a quick check plot, so we'll see what happens. I can't see a $1500 head being an economic loss on these machines when...
  14. Fix for Summa- Not completing First Cut.

I'll add to that. Different series cutters have the different heads. My T series head is completely different. But, that initial thread link helped with the dental rubber bands, but I was still getting some skips in the beginning. So, upon further investigation on the head, I took a second look...
  15. Forward, reverse... is forward

Aaanndd.. it's haunted. Seems to be working for the moment... I hate days like this...
  16. Forward, reverse... is forward

This just happened... trying to adjust my PF on my 1204 as it's been off for a while and just haven't gotten to it. While loading my vinyl, I advanced it with the keypad (forward), then hit reverse to bring it back to position.. and the vinyl continued to advance forward. Uh-oh.. what's going on...
  17. Sign for trailer ramp...

That'll work, just keep it at least 3" or so from the top of the ramp. That way, when it's down, it won't get tore up so easy if it's on a gravel driveway or something.
  18. Advice on sandblasted mdo sign

You sandblasted MDO? Screws into the subsurface ply is the way I'd do it, too, for what it's worth.
  19. Digging Equipment.............................

Oh, and yes, it will fit in a standard van or pickup. With the head folded over the drive unit, it's only about 5' long and 20" wide by 20" high. I used to carry it on a hitch-mate thing on my truck when the bed was packed full.
  20. Digging Equipment.............................

Yep, engine is separate from the head. Has a torque tube as well that makes it easier on the users back. You'll still need 2 people for deep holes unless you have brutes for employees... dirt and clay get heavy, quick.
