  2. Need Help Graphic 8000 cutting strangely

That will at least remove one variable as you try to figure this out.
  3. My Roland Versacamm has decided to stop reading crop marks. Help!

I would try some canned air first. If that doesn't do it, then proceed to a cleaning swab with Isopropyl Alcohol - DO NOT use the Roland cleaning fluid. And just to be clear, the sensor is on the left end of the cut carriage. Joe
  4. Need Help Graphic 8000 cutting strangely

Since Fellers isn't a Graphtec distributor, I doubt that you have a genuine Graphtec blade. I would try to find a Graphtec dealer and get a genuine blade. I've seen that solve a lot of problems and have never had a problem with a new Graphtec blade. You can find a list of dealers here: Vinyl...
  5. My Roland Versacamm has decided to stop reading crop marks. Help!

Strypguy is correct. But first, try just cleaning off the bottom of the sensor. It could just have some debris there keeping you from reading the marks.
  6. Need Help Graphic 8000 cutting strangely

Also, are you using genuine Graphtec blades or a third party alternative? Your offset with a new Graphtec blade should be zero. Also, make sure that you have the correct tool selected (CB-09). If it's a different brand, you'll have to test till you get the correct offset. Also, for general...
  7. Advice on buying a printer

10 to 15% sounds about right in this case. But check the status of the warranty. Down here inn the states out does not transfer to a second owner. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  8. Need Help Printing metallic spot colors with Flexi and Roland

It appears the Flexi doesn't support the Metallic ink mode on that printer: As opposed to the XR, which has the option: And this is with the latest version of Flexi, so you won't find it in an older version. So, for metallics, you're stuck using VersaWorks. As for getting them to match...

Can you post a picture of the nozzle test print?
  10. Need Help Printing metallic spot colors with Flexi and Roland

What model of printer do you have and what is set up in Flexi? If you have a model that Flexi supports metallic ink printing and you choose a color mode that includes metallic ink, then your customer spot color mapping is probably the best way to go. You could check the values that Roland...
  11. Onyx 10 white print setup

Also, it will most likely take more than white to make the opacity you need. Probably something like: reverse print cmyk > white > gray > white > regular print cmyk. Otherwise the 2 layers of color will show through and confuse the pushers and the pullers.
  12. Edge question

Change it to grey-scale and print with white foil?
  13. Question How bad could it be?

Depends on how much it's going to cost you. You'll probably have $3000 or so USD in just parts to get it up and running. Anything with ink in it probably needs to be replaced. If you know what you're doing and can do the work yourself, it *might* be all there is. But in reality, you've still...
  14. Need Help Mutoh RockHopper 38 Head/Electronics Problem

You're going to be pretty short on options on that one as parts availability will be pretty thin. I would guess that most likely you have an ink flow issue - especially if the printer has just sat around for a while. If you can try syringing ink through the captop, that will tell you if ink is...
  15. Lines in print

My first guess is that you have a fiber of some sort - banner scrim, hair, etc - on the bottom of one of your heads and it's pinstriping your print. On rare occasions I've seen ink build up significant to cause that as well. Get a bright flashlight and look at the bottom of your print carriage...
  16. RSC-1650C Laminating problems

If the wrinkles are even left and right, then the roller pressure is set accurately. That leaves pressure and tension to adjust. Usually inexperienced people try to use too much of both. Back off of the tension and try using the second notch for laminating your print. Laminating is part art...
  17. News How to Design Exceptional Signs in 20 Minutes or Less

I'm not sure I understand your question, but if you're trying to learn how to use Flexi, there are quite a few free videos on YouTube from SAi. They also have training classes at various times around the country. Check out LearnFlexi.com. Mark is a great instructor who knows Flexi inside and out.
  18. soft hand heat press materiel on latex360

Hand refers to how much you can feel the print on the fabric. The softer the hand, the less you can feel the transfer material. I don't have much experience with Latex printed transfers though. Sorry I can't help.
  19. Computer crashed have questions

You may be able to connect the hard drive as a secondary drive on the new computer and be able to access the files that way. It kind of depends on what's broken. This is a great commercial for having a good data backup system in place and using it religiously.
  20. Need Help Customer files with different swatches

Are you using the same model of Roland printer to print on? The Roland Color System works great if you're picking colors from a swatch that was printed on the production printer. They use fixed CMYK colors to print out the colors and if you're not on the same machine - even similar ones will...
