  3. Design question

I'm not at my desk right now, but it would be easy to do the same in Flexi. It mostly depends on what software you know well. Flex, AI, Corel for the most part all can do the same things, it mostly boils down to what you use most and what you've learned. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  4. Epson GS6000 ink change?

We had several customers experience fading on prints from the GS6000's back when we were selling them. Since we stopped selling Epson printers, I haven't heard about it lately. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

  10. How to make outdoor backlit signage

Or cut red translucent vinyl on a plotter - I know, this isn't using your printer, but seems like a better product in this case. When printing for a backlit sign, you either need to sandwich some prints or put up with a washed out print when backlit or an oversaturated print when the lights are...

  14. Question CWT Laminator Maintenance?

There are 3 bearing ways on each side under the table where the bearings run. Clean them off isopropyl alcohol, then wipe down with White Lithium Grease. If this doesn't fix it, then the bearings are replaceable, there's even a video on how to do that. And +1 on calling CWT for help - they're...
  15. CM2 not compatible with Illustrator CC 2018

I don't see Graphtec updating CM 2 or CM 3. They switched to CM4 because the vendor for CM3 wasn't able to keep up with Adobe updates. And it always takes a bit to for Graphtec to catch up when a major Adobe or Corel update comes out. Be patient. As for older plotters that aren't supported by...
  16. Question Cutting sandblast mask with Graphtec CE5000-60

Doing occasional sand blast on your CE is probably ok, but if you do a bunch of it, step up to an FC plotter. I had a customer get started in the monument business with a CE plotter and it only lasted them a year before they had to replace it. As far as blades, stick with the Graphtec ones...
  17. Pop Out Stickers

You'll go through more cutting strips, but cutting your perf on the cutting strips gives cleaner perf cuts. Just factor the cutting strips into your job though and don't let it go to shreds before replacing it.
  18. Need Help Connecting Gerber Edge to Omega 5.0 running on Windows 10

    - Fred, were you using Omega 5 with Windows 10? I think the main issue is Omega 5.0 compatibility with Windows 10. I would recommend upgrading to Omega 6.5 for the smoothest system and better support from GSP. - I've been able to succesfully get EnVision and other Gerber plotters to work...
  19. Question Fact or Myth? Printers don't make money unless you run them a lot.

As usual there is some truth and some exaggeration inn his explanation. Most of the printers discussed in this forum are industrial printers and are designed to work many hours a week. Most printers can go much longer than a week without use and will not dry the ink in the lines, but there...
